Time to Deal With The Misconception About Education

(Edited)

I was frequently told as a child of the importance of going to school and being educated. This was due to the fact that education is essential for success. I never really understood what it was all about back then, but as I grew up, I observed a lot of folks who were living better, employed in well paying jobs and receiving good salaries.

Is it true that gaining academic qualifications, attending the top colleges, and having a large number of professional certificates equates to being successful in life? Some may argue that achieving these goals is a success, but the last time I checked, there were a lot of people who had achieved success in life, and some of them were either school dropouts or students who have struggled academically.

Today, we can find successful entrepreneurs or business moguls who have never attended school or who do not have the same level of education as some of the world's finest academicians. As a result, I began to see things differently. It is true that education is the key to success since it allows someone to acquire the requisite skills and knowledge to enable them transform their ambitions or visions into reality.

Education has immensely aided us in making today's world a better place to live. Education has provided most people an upper hand and a competitive advantage in the corporate world, and it has helped to develop powerful individuals whose scientific work has aided humanity greatly.

As a result, most parents expect all of their children to have a formal education and to thrive in their particular academic fields at any costs. Failure to excel in school, on my side of the world, indicates you are dull and will most likely fail in life. I think the right education must always been giving concerning "education".

As a teacher I have come across parents who insist on their wards chose certain courses and doing it anyway since they see great prospects with those courses and assume can help their them to be successful in life.

Education also entails coaching and mentoring your child in order to help him or her identify and follow his or her own potentials and passions. No child, in my opinion, should be forced to pursue something that he or she does not enjoy. The goal of education is to assist someone in learning and discovering something they don't know, not to impose your ideals and goals on them.

Graduate unemployment is prevalent in Ghana because most people believe that if you go to school, you would excel in life right away. Here's an example of someone who, although possessing a bachelor's degree, still looks up to the government for job when he can actually utilise the skills to startup something. How can someone rely of the government for everything succeed?

What happened to their university and college educations? What happened to their skills or knowledge that, if used properly, may lead to success? Most people believe that because some people have succeeded without attending college or university, they can do so as well.

However, this is complicated because only a few people are capable of doing so. Skill or knowledge can be obtained from anyplace, not just in school, however education is the most common way of acquiring them.

The most important thing for us to understand is that if the knowledge or skill we receive in education is not put to good use, we will not be successful.

Greetings, understanding that education is a process where the individual can look at the world in different colors is what it should be. But looking at education just to get a job to live well is what was maintained in our generation, because our parents wanted their children to go to university because they did not achieve it.
It is also important what you highlight in that if a professional degree leads to success, this is how you look at success...the skills of some to do business is admirable even if they do not have university studies. But if it is necessary to educate yourself to broaden your mind, look at other worlds, generate changes, create quality realities.

A quality post, Hugs

No [human], in my opinion, should be forced to pursue something that he or she does not enjoy. [And we may even extend that to any life form. Gratefulness might be a standard.]

You once again spoke from my heart. !invest_vote
