New Rewards in Splinterlands

Splinterlands is one of the best Play2arn games on Hive Blockchain where a lot of people have gained quite a good amount of game assets. From this season Splinterlands team has updated the game to the new ranked battle rewards update. The update was quite smooth and we have not faced any downtime even though it was quite a big update.

With the new update, people who only have stater cards were not able to mean much of the chest rewards whereas players who actively play the Splinterlands from the days of Alpha, and Beta have quite a good number of Gold Cards and can able to earn more Chest up to 30. So after playing it for 2 days I can say that yes, the rewards have increased a little but again we have to spend as well as win quite a good number of games to get the same chest which we were getting earlier.

So now instead of daily quests, we have Focus Challenge where we have to collect the Season and Focus points every time we win. And these points determine the number of rewards chests you can collect. So now we have to win more to get more points and thus get more chest rewards also we have to keep a tab on Enerecy Capture Rate because if the ECR decreases we will get fewer points.

Now it feels like you have to play almost 2 to 3 times the time you used to play before to get the same amount of chests. I am currently playing in Silver 2, and thus for getting the 3 Chest Rewards I have to win more than 20 games previously it used to be just 5 games to get daily rewards.

For me, I am eyeing the same number of Chests like 3 as before and in the season little more than 15 should be good enough for me. The rewards have been a little better than the Daily Quests but we have to see the season rewards to actually see how good they are.

I’m playing in Bronze league ant it’s even worse. If you have very little CP your chances to win a focus reward are nil. You have to play an unreasonable amount of time to even win season’s rewards. I believe the goal was to get players to buy/rent more cards but I’m afraid new players like me will leave the game out of frustration

Yes for the Bronze league, it's quite difficult to get some points. Might try to buy some cards and then play with them.

Indeed, the difficulty of opening reward boxes has increased, as has the number of battles required. If the focus target is not strong enough, you may have to give up.

The problem is even after playing for 10 chests, I got 8 potions so no point in grinding so much. Just play for 1-2 chests every day.

I also think we will better judge at the end of the season, I have set my daily chest reward to 3, if I am able to get more the better but it all depends on ECR

The trick is to climb up and be at silver 1. I have a friend who is currently at silver 1 and with rented gold foil card and streak wins, he was able to get way more chests than previously.

I'm grinding out way more chests and rewards than I use to and I'm only a Gold 2 brawler. I might have to rent some monsters, particularly summoners.

Yes, I was too able to get more chests like previously I can only get 3 now yesterday I got 10. The chest was not that worthy of playing so much though

The new reward system pushes you to rent or buy cards to enter a higher league.
I rented/bought and stayed in Silver I and get more chests compared to the old system.

For me, when I have a daily focus with Fire, I rented strong Fire cards to play, I got more FP and more SP.
I got 5 chests on day 1, 7 chests on day 2 and 11 chests on day 3
Right now, I got 43 chests of season rewards after 4 days of playing, 113 battles, and won 81, an average of 5900 points/match.

That's great, to be honest without even renting I got 10 chests yesterday. It all depends on which cards you have, the water and fire chests can help me to get more chests than other summoners.

Great to hear that!
However, we can not get Fire/Water focus every day.
With the old system, I will not rent any card which is out of my Splinter. Because I can try to complete the daily quest and get 4 chests in Silver I. But now, I will prefer to rent cards which help me a lot in daily focus, earn more FP/SP and finally get more rewards :)

I rely on some untamed and chaos monsters but overall, my rewards have still been quite sexy. I'm getting at least 10 chests for every daily focus, despite only maxing out at Gold 2 and my season reward chest is already at 26, with like 11 days of the season to go.

Tha's great, I think it all depends on ECR too, if you have low ECR you might get less RP and thus you have to play more and thus ECR drops.
