Investors need Motivation too

Being an investor is not an easy task, we have to fight the odds, constantly check our portfolio and thus do constant changes to see how things are working. So that means the investors actually need the motivation to continue investing whether it's in crypto, stocks or mutual funds.

To be honest, we all want to become rich quickly too and because of that people usually think about what's the point in investing, if the market is falling. Their investment value is going down and thus they question the whole investment instruments themselves. I am seeing a lot of questions from the young investors like does the long term SIP work, is the double-digit returns expected, my portfolio is down 20% even after investing for 5 years and so on.

So in recent times, there are so many new investors who have joined just because the market has given good returns but when the investors are not seeing that returns in their portfolio they become angry and try to question the whole investing structure itself. But they fail to understand that there is no guarantee that investing in equity will give great returns for any reason whatsoever but that does not mean that we should stop investing.

This is the Sensex chart for last year and sees that if people would have invested in 2020 starting would have gt negative returns by 2020 end, similarly, if they have invested in 2021 end would have got negative returns as of today. This is how the equity investment works, crashes, bulls and bears so there is no data to support that in future everything would be good. But the good thing about the market is that it keeps increasing and thus you will be in profit in future that's for sure.

Do we have any choice rather than investing, because there is no way to create wealth in future if we do not invest? Are we able to gain financial independence if we do not invest? Equity and crypto give us that chance to become rich and thus we should feel motivated for that outcome which can happen in future.

Luck and discipline are what we need, luck might not be in our hands but discipline should always be there. The discipline is just not to continue investing but to have a plan and stick to that plan.

Actually, investment is a long term strategy. It is not a quick get rich scheme. If you want to invest to get rich quick, that is speculating, buying for the sake of hoping some fool to buy them at a higher price.

You are very categorical in this statement about fools, lol. There are time-tested coins that allow you to perform such actions and not feel like a speculator)
