Wonderous Waterfall

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to appreciate the beauty of another waterfall we managed to find!

Wonderous Waterfall

The little man and I are always drawn to a fishing experience but for us, there is something truly special about being able to fish near a waterfall of some sort! This was one of the things that we accomplished the other day and it was an awesome thing. It was a wonderful way to spend a few hours late on a Sunday evening!

We've been fishing in this particular area for a year now off and on. We would go in this area, not to this exact spot but nearby, for the simple fact that it's an awesome hole-in-the-wall place and NOBODY would fish there! Some kids would throw a few casts out, yeah, but they weren't really serious fishermen like my son and I are. Not to say that we are professional or anything but we go with a decent tackle box and try to fit the tackle we are using to what is in the area. The local kids that we ran into when we were fishing here were using giant hooks and giant baits for things that quite frankly really didn't live in the area here lol

We were fishing and it was that truly special and incredibly beautiful "golden hour" of the day! It had such an amazing look to it, that I wish I got better pictures! Sadly most of my pictures that I captured were burned out a bit by the sun. I took them too directly with the sun shining and didn't shelter my camera at all. Still there were some that did come out well enough, even with the burning effect of the sun in the background there.

I loved the look of the water, looking smooth as a sheet of glass and the waterfall there dumping it all out. It was really quite an incredible place that I know the little man and I will be going back to a number of times. He can be a little stink though, if he doesn't catch the right fish in an area he won't want to go back even though I know there are some hogs lurking around in the area!

The area has quite a bit of cool history to it as well. I didn't get a snap of the plaque that they have set up but it was a defunct dam and they redid the whole thing and kept some of the old historical stuff like this initial pillar from a set of train tracks in the area that used to run over it. I don't know what happened to the original dam, I think it just fell into disrepair and they ended up just draining the water out of it for a number of years. They recently rebuilt the whole thing though and I think finished it in 2019 or 2020 which is cool. We got to experience the place in it's full glory! A lot of the local residents we run into say that they are glad they finally redid the place, it's an important local structure.

There are some aspects to it that just remind me of something completely different though! This picture here looks like it could be situated in like the Amazon jungle or something, instead of in a place in simple old New England that it is. I love the look of the trees, waterfall in the background and the dilapidated stone pillar structure standing there in the water. Really makes for an interesting picture! I know I will definitely be keeping this one around and the version I have of it in black and white for future posts, certainly a favorite!

The good part about the lower part of the waterfall here is that there are a number of good fish! The little man caught a decent smallmouth bass just off the bridge we are standing on, so that's a score. I have a feeling that the area is going to be quite a decent spot to throw a few casts for some trout in the fall when things cool off, so I'm really hoping that we can get out there and do some awesome trout fishing this year!

Gorgeous shots my dude!

I love the sound of falling water, I swear it must emit a healing frequency or something. Glad you guys got out there and let these waters integrate with your auras or whatever :)

Oh for sure I know it's got something in the resonation for sure. There are so many things I want to research and see what’s out there, and resonation and vibrational science is one of them! Everything has a vibration and resonance, being able to target and pinpoint frequencies is something there’s been a decent amount of research into in the early 1900’s but I’m sure most don’t care about that these days.

Hopefully these very real phenomena will soon once again be restored to their former place of understanding and utility :)

That sounds like an amazing fishing experience! I love the pictures you took, especially the one with the waterfall in the background. It really does look like something out of the Amazon jungle.

I'm glad you and your son had such a great time. It sounds like you found a really special spot. I'm sure you'll have many more great fishing trips there in the future.

Thanks! Yeah the spot was beautiful and absolutely reminded me of the Amazon lol. Since you saw the color and the black and white version, which is your favorite? For me I think it's the black and white! It's a tough decision though..

This time, black and white! I agree with you.

It looks like a really nice fishing spot, not that I would know a good one if I saw it, but I can understand sitting there and relaxing with some bait in the water for a few hours would do wonders for the mind. As soon as I saw the waterfall from the dam I was wondering if there would be trout there.

Lol, I had to laugh at your son being a little stonk though...I get that with my niece as well sometimes. We'll have a day jam-packed with fun things but she'll focus on the one or two things that didn't go exactly to plan and it will become "my whole day has been ruined" so I'm trying to teach her to balance that out with some good stuff as well. I'm not sure if it's working yet, but hey, maybe one day it will 😁

Hahah yeah I hear you on the little ones. In their experience though, they sometimes don't have a lot to go by. I've gotten the complaint from my son a few times on things like that and it’s hard not to lecture them about being grateful and stuff lol.

The waterfall is such a nice spot! I’ve got to go back there soon with him, we’ve had another annoying bout of rain lately but I’m going to make it back there before the summer ends lol.

I myself am very fond of visiting such places, as seen in these pictures, all the places are very beautiful. Natural beauty always attracts the people's attention.
