Hi fellow Hiveians,

Mountain Clouds

First off, I apologize the quality of the photos isn't what I would like them to be but the windows near us were all broken and wouldn't open. It was annoying! Regardless though, we loved the journey!

So for folks living on the East Coast of the United States, one of the things that's pretty cool living in New England is having access to the tallest peak on the East Coast of North America just a few hours away in New Hampshire! Mount Washington has been a key travel destination, we learned, for well over a hundred years! The scenery is beautiful for sure and I'll go into more of the history of it in a subsequent post but for this one I wanted to focus on the amazing clouds we saw!

One of the really interesting things we saw was the difference between the base and near the summit. At the base it was cloudy and not a very nice day. As you traveled up the mountain on the cog railway you broke through the clouds! We were able to finally see a little bit of sun but what was cool was that we could see the tops of the lowest formations of clouds. It's been a while since I've had that chance! I loved going on the old-school coal powered steam engine up the mountain. It had a very awesome, nostalgic feeling to it but it was also something that is very popular. You can check the giant and cool smoke stack right here, with some clouds in the background lol.

I think this is definitely my favorite picture of the bunch! I'm glad that I got one that looked clear lol. The black and white nature of it creates some drama to it, I think!

On the way down we got to see one of the best sights: sunset! The train guy told us that this was the first train ride down in a week or two that they actually saw the sunset. It was cloudy, rainy or snowing for the past several weeks. We got really lucky on our trip! The pillow-stuffing look of the clouds as they hug the mountains was one of my favorite things to see. They just pop right out of them!

Cool pics....I hopeto see the same clouds from where we are right now... It is still warmer here in Andalusia so when it gets chilly, then there is a hope to get some clouds up here... We are about 400 meters above sea level...
And oh btw, I signed-up under your referral for Presearch, thanks for the link.

That's interesting, pretty high elevation you are at! I'm not sure where that is yet but I'll look it up!

Presearch is great. It takes a little while to get going on it but just adding it to your daily habit is a good way to go. I earn anywhere between 2-3 tokens a day when doing searches for things. You just can't search for everything in 5 minutes or they will lock your account.

Hi! I haven´t read their whitepaper yet if there´s any... but It is in my extension so everytime I open my laptop presearch automatically comes out, so when I search for something, it has on the left side bar sites that I used when I had Google.

That's great, make sure when you use it that it credits you. I think maybe some folks do not remember to check and then don't get credit for the searches.

They have a Whitepaper, I haven't read it in a while but they have existed since around January 2019 or so, approximately. It's been a nice project to get into!

I think it's great that more people are trying to stop using sites like Google. It's the best we can do to improve the internet!

I agree to that... I have seen the movie of two German software developers who developed what is now Google Earth. According to the true story movie, the concept of those maps and satellite algorithms were stolen by an Englishman named Brian who befriended the two Germans, he worked for Silicon Graphics and later on for Google. The software was patented I remember in Germany but not in the US. They were offered 5M USD for the right, but the software was worth more than 100M. The Germans lost the battle.
And Google earned enormous amount of profits from Google Earth thru ads on other products related to searching at Google Earth.
