Hi fellow Man Cavers,

Today I'm enjoying a nice bottle of vino after a lot of packing!

Wine Weekend Evening

I've been fortunate enough to have really undergone the real experience when it comes to being able to experiment and see what wine really tastes like, specifically Italian wine!

A number of years ago my wife and I were able to go on an amazing trip of our lives and spent many weeks in Italy (I was there for 2 months, she came later) and it really allowed me to find and appreciate some of my favorite kinds of wine! One of these kinds is Montepulciano, with this version being D'Abruzzo.

The Montepulciano is a style of wine that is from the Tuscany area of Italy. I know many people have seen wonderful pictures of the place all over the internet of the Tuscany area but if you have a chance to visit, I highly recommend it! Searching the internet can get that for ya but some good recommendations if you are inclined to trying some wine, would be the Montepulciano style! This one is from the Abruzzo region of Tuscany which is on the eastern side. It might not get as much fanfare as some of the other ones that are far more popular with wine enthusiasts such as Brunello but damn this one is great!

I certainly had to enjoy my nice glass of wine with one of my new favorite wine glasses. Fulchino vineyard is a local New Hampshire place that's got a wonderful atmosphere and a really family that runs it and employs a couple dedicated workers. We spent a lot of time there last year towards the end of the summer and early fall helping them and we really got to appreciate the effort it takes to make a bottle of wine!

This particular Montepulciano was a bit more on the bitter side as some can be but it was overall a decent wine. I don't know if I would get it again but I also didn't dislike it enough to pour it down the drain! lol

An evening with a glass of wine wouldn't be complete without the trusty Roma wine bottle opener I got when we were in Italy! I know the thing comes from China but it's more the place and the atmosphere of where I got it that's special to me. The thing works as good as the day I got it which is nice because I'm not going to be happy if this thing ever breaks lol I'm hoping to have these small sentimental items to be able to pass onto our son when he gets of age.

Overall it was a relaxing evening, even though moving and packing stuff was a lot of work, it was good to sit back and relax with a little bit of vino!

Whoever is directly controlling the V2K told me to kill myself.
They told me if I killed myself now it would save the lives of countless others.
Saying the longer I wait to kill myself the more people will suffer.

They are reckless and should have shown the proper media what they had before taking me hostage for 5 years. I know there are many in prison that dont deserve to be there because of this. Your stay in prison will not be fun @battleaxe and friends. People are going to want you dead when they find out what you did. I hope you die a slow painful death. You sick mother fuckers.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Maybe someone told ill informed soldiers they cant protect America from military leaders in control with ill intent. How do we protect locked up soldiers from telling the truth?

Cheers my dude!

I’m not relaxing just yet. Two nights ago I worked straight through the night until it was time to go to work, last night I slept from 12 am to 3 am, and while tonight I will have to get more sleep since I’m driving to NC in the morning, there is still much work to be done tonight in preparation for the journey.

Also, I’m fresh out of fine Italian wines here, so I had to settle for stealing some of my kids’ V8 Fusion and cutting it with a little vodka and triplesec. Nevertheless, I’d like to propose a toast that all your hard work lead you and yours to something new, exciting, and positively memorable!

That's awesome dude! I know it's a lot of work and sometimes working to the wee hours of the morning is what we have to do but it's worth it for sure! I'm glad that you're getting to the end of the line for the packing and prepping stuff! It's been a hell of a time that's for sure. We've done a lot of work ourselves to donate, sell or throw away so much stuff. We are certainly going to try and prevent the accumulation of this much "stuff" in the future lol

Hope you can get some additional sleep to make up for it my friend! I know between posting, commenting and packing I'm up a lot later lately than I usually am lol

Hell yeah man, that doesn’t help the sleep situation 🤣

I’m all wrapped up with the trailer, just gotta figure out where I put the truck key (and PRAY I didn’t accidentally pack it!!!! …and then I’m getting some long awaited sleep before I enjoy my first kid-free weekend with my wife in SIX YEARS :)

I’m so excited - yeah, definitely gonna knock boots in the AirBnB, but to be truthful, I’m just as excited to have a meal and some drinks - and a conversation without interruptions.

Here’s to new beginnings, my friend, may they live up to or exceed expectations!

Nice, that looks good. I don't know much about wine, but Liza does know quite a bit. if you ever get back to Italy, her family has a couple of VRBOs we could get you in. I haven't been there, but one day...maybe one day...

That's awesome! I guess with the name "Liza" one could get the idea that she might be Italian hahah.

I love wine, more so lately than beer because it doesn't lead me to being gassed up like a puffer fish but wine from Italy has a special place for me. We have 2 bottles left over from our trip over there, still in the wooden box! I'm really hoping that I've stored them properly so they don't taste like vinegar but at least it would be memorable vinegar lol.

Where are the rentals? That would be super cool! I know that we'd love to get back over there in about 10 years when our son could remember how amazing a trip it would be, although by then who knows if we will even be allowed to fly on a plane as peasants we are lol.
