Hellish Spiders

When you are out in most places around the world, there is one thing that you are almost guaranteed to find: spiders!

Now don't get me wrong, I know spiders are important and I don't kill them in most of the situations I encounter them in because of the things they do for us by eating bugs and all that. However it doesn't mean that I can't be scared as shit by them! LOL

The spiders that we've seen are pretty big ones that's for sure! We know that we've got no idea what kind they are or if they are dangerous but one things for sure, we stay away and keep a safe distance.

This nice yellow beauty here appears to be Argiope aurantia from what I can find out and although it looks like it's fairly gentle from the pictures that people are posting. It's apparent that the black and yellow garden spider is not venomous! I'll take their word for it but won't test it out myself lol. These spiders sound like they are pretty helpful and important for a garden so maybe one day we will have one and let them roam around eating the things we don't like!

A tough part about looking for information on things like spiders on the web is that there is so much info to be had around! I know that it's also not that easy to search "spiders in "x" state and get all of the possible results. Such as this big fella down here! I haven't the slightest clue as to what this one could be but it sure looks mean! It grew pretty big in size that's for sure lol. We left it properly alone as we should, and it was content hanging out next to us while we were fishing.

This one here I had originally thought was a wolf spider but searching around may have told me otherwise! This big fella here was in a very close proximity spot to the one immediately above, we saw both of them on the same day of fishing. It appears that it's a striped fishing spider which is cool to be able to find it. This one was closer to the water which makes sense. A little scary that this thing goes in there and fishes for food! LOL

I know that it's fun to be able to find and learn about these things with our son. Homeschooling has many different things that we do but one thing I am trying to always do is incorporate some type of learning into it. This is a short biology lesson but these lessons are the ones that are easier to remember!
