Cathartic Writing Rekindled

Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to appreciate getting things back on track writing wise! Just in time for my vacation too :D

Cathartic Writing Rekindled

I am glad that I've been able to figure out a decent schedule to get my writing back on track here! For a while things were looking a little shady!

I've certainly had my challenges with writing consistently, though thankfully not an issue in the last 2.5 years here on the blockchain. For a while when I started out, I didn't really know what to write about and that's okay. I think we tend to have to spend some time trying to figure out "our brand" especially in a blogging space. Hive is no different!

The brand I was going for before was really focused more on DIY related things and those certainly are fun posts and they do well. What was a little bit of a challenge though was because I'm not a builder or anything like that, I really didn't have enough posts in a given week to generate a DIY post every single day. This got me quite discouraged because I wanted to have some consistency however I didn't have a lot of it really figured out.

Now I don't have it figured out per-se but I have been very lucky to figure out that it was more important me to just get writing and put things out there instead of trying to conform to some expectation that folks have of me. I write things that are general content, some specific ones like DIY, some other ones like fishing but for the most part, all I'm really doing is just writing things that I find entertaining and this helps me with my mental catharsis! I'm able to synthesize a lot more information with my habitual writing and this has been a pretty interesting improvement. I feel more mentally focused when I'm able to get the posts written which is cool!

I've been focused on getting to my laptop at least 5 out of the 7 nights a week so that I can get to writing some posts. I don't always make it which is fine, because we need some time off of course! I've been making an effort to not write posts on Sunday so that I can hopefully get to bed at a good time on Sunday evening so that my Monday morning workday doesn't suck lol. It doesn't always work out, sometimes getting into engagement in Hive posts and before I know it, it's already 10p and I'm supposed to be in bed an hour ago LOL

On the nights that I am getting to my laptop though, it's a good feeling to get down to writing such as this post here, and getting things scheduled out into the future. I don't think it will ever turn out in the long run that I can schedule multiple posts per day, that's a little bit too much for me mentally but I think I may be able to squeak out some normal posts every day and sprinkle in an additional Leo post or two a week. I don't want to hold my breath though, because things happen and we aren't always able to make those commitments. I don't want to set myself up for failure on that. Getting to publishing a post every single day for over 2 years has been a hell of an accomplishment for me, I don't need to make it more difficult by trying to go with multiple posts per day lol.

The nice thing as well for me in getting these posts written and scheduled is that I have some time off coming up, a full week where we will be doing some great driving and having fun as a family which will necessitate me not having my laptop at all, so writing posts will become challenging. I'm getting myself prepped for that week by trying to write 2-3 posts every night of the week that I can, so that I can cover the post that was recently published plus 1 or 2 days into the future, pushing out the amount of posts that I've got completed into the future just a little bit more. Eventually I will have 3-4 weeks of them in the books! I just hope when I get back from vacation, I won't get into a motivational rut lol and not find the time to keep on posting. I doubt that though, but it's a possibility!

Writing consistently is something that I am working on and I am achieving it gradually. I hope to continue with that energy till the end of the year.

Thanks, I tend to add random pictures from my daily travels to my posts as something nice to look at lol.

Writing consistently is important for sure! It's good for not only hive but it's also good for getting your thoughts out there and it cleans up space in our brain I think, and files things to the appropriate sections lol

Totally relatable..... Maybe I consider myself lucky cause I am digital expert and entrepreneur that work from home, most of my daily work are always done on my laptop and device. Writing my be a bit challenging cause you need to dedicate uninterruptible time for it.

Over the past 1 year, I have been struggling with myself engaging and interacting with beautiful people until I had to restructure my routine. So, I decided declining some work offered to me if it gonna affect my work here on #hive. Hive really worth building, it's a future investment one can never regret venturing into.

I really understand how it will be so tough on you. Thanks for sharing, you always make my day with your amazing content.

Taking some time off even for what we really like is always beneficial to come back with more energy and I really liked the pictures of the chicken.
