Fortuitous financial fumbling

One thing that kind of gets overlooked when dealing with magic internet money is the having the right mindset. In our wonderful and utopic society we are encouraged to seek instant gratification no matter what: need a new expensive car you can't afford? no problem the banksters got you covered. And same goes for most things, there are plenty of loans that can transform your life into a sort of indentured servitude where you have to work a number of years just to pay the interest on your loan. All because waiting to save some money and getting something more affordable is just too boring when you can have it now.

Crypto offers a similar mirage of instant gratification, the only difference is that the object of desire is a big pile of green freedom paper. But very few actually time everything correctly and make a killing quick, and I doubt those who actually make it don't plan things in advance at least to some degree. Most dumb plebs like myself need to think several years in advance and take advantage of the unique opportunities of the successive bull and bear markets. That means taking profits in the form of stable coins ( preferably the ones that don't turn to shit at the first sign of red markets ) during the bull and then reinvesting in the bear market.

I know the purists will scoff at my strategy and call it a form of trading while also preaching that hodling everything is the only true and holy path in crypto. But you could call it a clown orgy for all I care, it's the only idiot proof way of leveraging the markets to your advantage when you don't have a lot or any disposable income and in this way you can constantly grow your portfolio without spending any "real money". Sure, it's hell of boring most of the time and also very grindy if you show up every day to earn a few coins. On the flip side if you have patience and a solid plan it only takes a few bull cycles to grow your portfolio to triple digit figures.

Choosing what shiny coins to buy and setting a price point is the current challenge every broke ass pleb should focus on in the next couple of years. Currently Leo is a no brainer but besides that I'm waiting for Hive to go to at least 20 cents before I'll spend my precious and hard earned HBD on it. And of course stacking those satoshis is always a good idea, especially in the bear market. To that end I'm hoping bitcoin will go towards the 10k level at some point but for now anything under 20k is pretty decent, though the bear is long and I'm not ready to jump in just yet.

All that being said it's still better to be lucky than skillful, at least if you're a buffoon like me where skill is out of the question :P

Liquidity pools would be a good way for someone with limited funds to gain "free money" to use for more investment.

Assuming you have a few HIVE to spare, pick a liquidity pool which looks appealing to you, take your disposable income to buy "X" amount of base token and an equivalent value of quote token, then let the distributions arrive in your wallet every day.

Every 30 days take the liquidity pool rewards to sell them for SWAP.HIVE, then buy more base tokens and quote tokens to add to your position in the liquidity pool. This way, the LP rewards become larger every 30 days since you're re-investing them.

The only drawback to this approach is the amount of time it takes to reach your goal to begin using liquidity pools. If you have the HIVE to spare already, you're all set. Otherwise, convert some HBD to HIVE or shift Layer 2 assets around until you have the SWAP.HIVE needed to begin.

then maybe delegations?

why bother with delegations when you can get around 12% APY on your HP from curation ( which is automated if you are part of curation trails ) plus inflation. That goes up to around 15% when the price of Hive really goes down. I'm not aware of any project besides HBD savings that offers an APY above 20% which would make bothering with delegation worth it in my eyes

Bro, do you have an idea about second-layer tokens? I was constantly pushing you to try it (cause I know it will benefit you, please give it a try). no matter what you do (checking your stats), you can't earn more than what dedicated second-layer accounts earn.

Your second layer tokens are barely earning 5% and it can take you to 10%+

I will recommend you delegate second-layer tokens to dedicated second-layer curation accounts. Also, don't delegate to any account that promises x token for y token delegation.

I know what you're saying but I was disappointed when my favorite curation projects stopped and haven't bothered since. I'll give it a shot for vyb, pob and leo. Got any links ?

You did not say a thing about meme token? You mint memes and maybe sell them in the future too. !1UP

You can earn passive income by delegation of tribe tokens to "The Cartel".
