On Display
I wish to glimpse all of those thoughts you think-
when we grow disconnected, falling out of sync
Some desires are better left for naught,
no one gets anywhere dwelling on thoughts
It's in those moments we share time and place,
occupying each other outside of headspace
When connection flows, nothing else exists;
Reflections of self and other are eclipsed
The point where resistance dissolves away-
and our souls are all that's left on display
