I hear you, it's very hard not to love him as he is truly iconic.

As for the personality of being an animal, it's not so much that, but he was very affected by the experiments to which he was subjected, and that's why he behaved like that, but after he was healed he completely changed his attitude, he went from improvement to improvement.

That's entirely true..as he healed he became a lot more calculated as he was able to act not only on the impulse of rage.. professor xavier surely must have been glad he had someone like Logan around.
