Happy Shabu Shabu buffet experience

In Taiwan, the weather can change dramatically. It's already April, and sometimes it feels scorching hot, like summer, while other times it suddenly turns cold, like winter. This weekend, I'm meeting up with a friend whom I haven't seen in a long time. We're going to have hot pot, so I checked the restaurant's reviews online beforehand. The price isn't high, but the ingredients are fresh, the service is excellent, and the only downside is that it's located in a somewhat remote area. Fortunately, it's still accessible by the MRT.

When we arrived, the interior of the restaurant was quite lovely, and it didn't take long for the dining area to fill up. I ordered the fish and shrimp platter, which came with sea bream, shrimp, clams, and squid. The portion was just right, and I was satisfied with just one serving. The self-service buffet was also impressive, with a variety of mushrooms, corn, tofu, pumpkin, cabbage, and more. There were also various types of noodles and drinks. I had several cups of hot latte.

After the meal, my friend and I walked around a nearby garden to digest. It didn't rain, so we got to see some beautiful roses, although my friend said they were even more gorgeous earlier in the season. It was a nice break from the fast-paced routine of daily life, and I enjoyed admiring nature's beauty and chatting with my friend.

I'm so glad to see such beautiful flowers in the city, and even more importantly, to have friends who are willing to listen to my complaints about work difficulties and share delicious food together. Although I have to go back to work tomorrow, I feel recharged and ready to take on the day.
