Estas han tenido grandes beneficios en la humanidad, pues previenen enfermedades que antes causaban grandes epidemias, muertes y secuelas, nos ayudan a librar mejor una batalla contra la enfermedad, son una especie de equipo que nos proporciona lo necesario para salir triunfantes ante una enfermedad.

Estas previenen la propagación de enfermedades contagiosas, peligrosas y muchas veces mortales como; la sarampión,hepatitis B, poliomielitis, meningitis, parotiditis, varicela,tos ferina, difteria, el tétanos y la influenza las cuales atacan la salud en etapa infantil.

These have had great benefits for mankind, since they prevent diseases that used to cause great epidemics, deaths and sequels, they help us to better fight a battle against the disease, they are a sort of equipment that provides us with what we need to emerge triumphant in the face of a disease.

They prevent the spread of contagious, dangerous and often deadly diseases such as measles, hepatitis B, polio, meningitis, mumps, chicken pox, whooping cough, diphtheria, tetanus and influenza which attack children's health.

Para esta semana lo primero en la agenda fue la vacunación de Aura, ella tiene 5 años a esta edad le toca el primer refuerzo de antipoliomielitis y pentavalente la cual protege contra cinco enfermedades como; difteria, tosferina, tétanos, poliomielitis e infecciones producidas por Haemophilus Influenzae tipo b.

For this week the first thing on the agenda was Aura's vaccination, she is 5 years old and at this age she has her first booster of anti-polio and pentavalent which protects against five diseases such as; diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, poliomyelitis and infections caused by Haemophilus Influenzae type b.

Para nosotros como familia es importante la vacunación de nuestros hijos, actualmente estamos en este proceso con nuestra pequeña Aura, como padres reconocemos la importancia de las vacunas sobre todo cuando papá (mi esposo y padre de mis hijos) presenta una diversidad funcional (discapacidad motora) por haber padecido de poliomielitis de pequeño.

For us as a family it is important to vaccinate our children, we are currently in this process with our little Aura, as parents we recognize the importance of vaccinations especially when dad (my husband) has a functional diversity (motor disability) for having suffered from polio as a child.

Eso y las experiencias vividas día a día con papá en la familia nos a enseñado a educar nuestra conciencia para dar la oportunidad a nuestros hijos de recibir sus vacunas en el tiempo adecuado y de esta manera ejercer su derecho a la salud.

Es importante guardar el tarjetón o como se le denomine en el lugar donde resides, es un documento de identificación de nuestro hijo, el cual certifica cada dosis recibida, que van a solicitar cuando ingrese a sus primeros años de educación preescolar o cuando lo inscribamos a sus primeras actividades recreativas o deportivas.

Existen muchos mitos sobre las vacunas, muchas veces decidimos no vacunar a los niños en las familias, para mi no es algo cuestionable por que cada padre, toma la decisión más conveniente para sus hijos, pero para nosotros como familia, esta no es una opción óptima, ya que está en juego la salud de nuestros hijos.

There are many myths about vaccines, many times we decide not to vaccinate children in families, for me it is not something questionable because each parent makes the most convenient decision for their children, but for us as a family, this is not an optimal option, since the health of our children is at stake.
