It's been an amazing week with joyous stories surrounding the history, pleasures, and fascination that we all have for our favourite beverage, coffee, that we have skimmed for throughout the week.

Coffee shop: Old but warm by @crazy-bee

The weather is not good to go out in this city one afternoon and it looks like it could rain in the evening. A date with a friend I haven't seen in a while pulls me out of the house and stops being lazy. My friend met at a nearby coffee shop, I didn't know it until I looked at googlemap. When I got there I understood why it was not found in my area. It is quite difficult to find and seems to have to go into long alleys like snakes crawling in a maze of many nooks and crannies.

As we began to advance along the road, the sky became more cloudy, the temperature was getting colder and colder and in the distance we could see that some clouds were already dumping their rain in the direction we were going...When I got there, the first thing I did was to order a big brown coffee, the coffees from that place are delicious, they have their charm and the place is super quiet, my boyfriend who doesn't drink much coffee also ordered a big one for the truth we brought a lot of cold.

I ordered a black americano, as is typical. As it happened the coffee was free today!. I thought it was going to be some low quality filtered coffee or something, but noooo. It was proper coffee, very rich and dark. High quality stuff. I ordered a tart to go with it - otherwise I would have been sitting there drinking their coffee for free :). The cafe was actually a little busy when we got there, but soon emptied out. Despite being busy, though, it was quiet.

No longer will I feel the bite and kick of the caffeine bronco jump and buck through my veins. No longer will I have a cappucino moustache, coffee breath, or spill coffee grounds over the kitchen bench. No longer will I argue the merits of coconut or oat milk with coffee, and how it is much better than soy or cow's milk.

Something that makes me laugh a lot and that happens to me a lot in every coffee shop I go to, is the appreciation of the sizes "small, medium and large", I have had to go to places where the small size for me is an average, the large is very large and the medium is super small, it's a lottery. So when they tell me that there is small and large coffee, I thought that the large would be medium size, I asked for that one and it turned out to be very large.

Snack at Antonelly Pastry Shop, Bogotá by @aurodivys

My husband and I walk around the city, holding hands, with the excitement of a child and we are thrilled by the wonders of nature that we find on our way. We rejoice when there is no fog and we can see the Monserrate mountain clear and with its beautiful greens. Bogota is a city where the dynamism of urban life contrasts with the generosity of nature, all in absolute harmony. I love being here and now!

Roaming For Roasts : Charms of Cafe Milieu, a Minimalistic Haven in The Suburb Of Bangkok by @macchiata

I spotted a very distinct building compared to its surroundings. The main entrance was decorated like a cute french styled cafe. It has the name cafe milieu plastered on its glass wall. Once you step inside, you will forget all about the busy road or the chaotic twisted electric lines. You’ll be transformed to another universe like I felt when I was there.

I sat down and was then equally as warmly greeted by the brothers who run the place and asked for a coffee black but he suggested I maybe try a Turkish coffee instead. I said sure why not. Now I don’t normally take sugar in my coffee but I relented when urged and said maybe a little.

And I think that this espresso shot really looks great on photos. I like looking the crema gradually forming. The little bubbles dance in the body, gently reaching the head and forming the perfect espresso. I only need somebody to come and take some shots for a fancy magazine!
