The Best of the Beanies, in no particular order - they were all so good!

Some Things Are Simply Not Meant for Usby @ifarmgirl

Without needing any second word, I took the cup and drank all of it, savouring it to the last drop. The woman smiled warmly, "Your life is good and I know you're always grateful. So keep on, love your life even more and the people around you as you always did. You're just a little disappointment. Come, let's take a walk..." she held me by the hand and we strolled out her house.

I started to experiment with the recipe, trying out different blends of coffee beans and tweaking the amounts of each ingredient to find the perfect balance. Eventually, I decided to share the recipe with my family. We all gathered together, and I brewed a pot of my grandmother's coffee. As we sipped the hot, delicious brew, we shared stories and memories of my grandmother, and I felt a sense of connection to her that I had never felt before.

Before you put it into the oven, say the following words. "Made with love, may this treat find you happy and healthy. If it does not, let it fill you with everything good that you need from above. If you're tired or sad, let it lift your spirits so mired. If you're stuck feeling down with bad luck, it will ensure that the rest of your day does not suck." Bake at 350 uncovered for 35-40 mins. I smiled. "Did Grandma Francis say that before she baked?"

Without realizing it, she was already talking to her mother, as if the years had not passed. In his mind he tried to hold on to his scepticism, something inside him told him that the witch had been lucky. She finished drinking her coffee and saw at the bottom of the cup the remains of the eraser, they seemed to smile at her, and she felt stupid. But there she was, talking to her mother after 20 years, if it hadn't been for that premonitory cup of coffee, she would never have dared to make that call.

Is destiny in you or at the bottom of a coffee cup? by @chacald.dcymt

The woman smelled of tobacco, rum and coffee. We both looked at the cup wrapped by our hands and she said that I should take care of myself, for destiny had a bad trick in store for me and that in order not to fall into disgrace I should do the opposite of what I would normally do. It got me thinking. Normally I would have continued home as if nothing had happened, but the woman had a tone of mystery in her voice so instead of continuing I sat in the park thinking that I would be better off for changing destiny.

I have come to see your future and to know if you are safe at home. I agreed only to show that there was nothing to fear. Alberto knew perfectly well where grandfather kept the coffee pot, so almost immediately the hot coffee that I needed so much to regain my peace of mind was ready. As soon as I finished drinking it, the sorcerer snatched the cup from my hand and turned it over on the table, then he began to pray in African and asked me to take his hands making a circle around the race.

The grandmother boiled the powder with water and waited for it to settle, and then served us with a wooden spoon in the cups made with the shell of a fruit that looked like the wood of a coconut. When I finished drinking the beverage, leaving some coffee powder at the bottom, the old woman took it out of my hand and turned it over on a white cloth she had already prepared, as she began to pray in the gypsy language.

My inner world at the bottom of a coffee cupby @sofiaquino98

She approaches the table I am at, sits down on the chair in front of me and hands me the cup full of coffee - The procedure is as follows. You will drink the liquid as fast as you can, hand me the empty cup and immediately afterwards, you will close your eyes. I will let you know when you can open them again.

She just ran over me with the outrageous colours of her outfit, I found her in the coffee shop while she was waiting in line, she saw me and gestured for me to catch up with her but I just waved at her from afar and took the last place in line. I didn't want to hurt my karma anymore by cheating in line, that thought caused me to laugh.10.

After dinner, I placed the coffee tray on the table, served Grandma and Mama Gold some freshly brewed coffee and poured some sparkling water for Aunt Jade.
"Young lady, where are you off to?" Grandma asked when I turned to leave. "Sit and pour yourself a cup. It's ladies' night."
I chuckled and sat with them. Grandma shuffled a deck of cards like an expert poker player while Aunt Jade turned on the record player. Carole King's voice droned on, smoothly as she sang, "You've Got a Friend".
