Teaching the Kids with House Chores - My Actifit Report Card: September 22 2023
The classes last Friday were cancelled due to the smog from the volcano, and everyone is advised to stay inside as much as possible or wear a mask when going out. Since my kids are at home, my firstborn did his chores on weekends when he had no school. His chores include washing the dishes, cooking rice, and cleaning the floor. He is getting better at his chores; he is cooking the rice perfectly, and he washes the dishes well this time. Before, I needed to double-check the plates to see if they were well cleaned or if he was done washing them. His little brother is mimicking what his brother is doing.
As a parent, I believe that teaching kids to do housework at a young age will give them a sense of responsibility at home and will also train them to be independent.
He can now enjoy his screen time for an hour and a half on a TV, computer, or iPad after finishing his duties.
