Laura, A Member of the Police Department-digital paint
Hace unos días me encontraba viendo con mis padres la serie de Universal, “Chicago P.D”, mientras cenábamos, cuando se me antojo garabatear un poco.
Terminé mi cena y me dispuse entonces a hacerlo. Ilustré bocetos muy rústicos y feos de policías corriendo o escapando, al igual que algunas caras de policías y detectives femeninos y masculinos, pero ninguno de ellos me convenció. No fue hasta par de garabatos más tarde que encontré la inspiración completa.
Fue así como nació Laura, miembro oficial de la unidad especial del departamento de policía. La verdad es que la ilustración me encantó, y no podía perder la oportunidad de compartirlo con ustedes. Espero de corazón les guste tanto como a mí.
A few days ago I was watching the Universal series “Chicago P.D”, with my parents while we were having dinner, when I felt like doodling a little.
I finished my dinner and then got ready to do it. I illustrated very crude and ugly sketches of cops running or escaping, as well as some faces of male and female police and detectives, but none of them convinced me. It wasn't until a couple of doodles later that I found the full inspiration.
That is how Laura was born, an official member of the special unit of the police department. The truth is that I loved the art, and I couldn't miss the opportunity to share it with you. I sincerely hope you like it as much as I do.
Step by Step:
Primero, comencé dibujando un boceto rápido del personaje.
First, I started by drawing a quick sketch of the character.
A pesar de no tener muy claro cómo ilustraría yo las facciones de su rostro o su uniforme en general, tenía muy definido la abundante cantidad de detalles que quería tuviese su cabello, por lo que fue de las principales cosas que decidí atacar al momento de realizar el line art. Luego, gracias a la motivación del momento, fui resolviendo los restantes detalles.
Despite not having a very clear idea of how I would illustrate the features of her face or her uniform in general, I had very well defined the abundant amount of details that I wanted her hair to have, so it was one of the main things that I decided to attack when making the line art Then, thanks to the motivation of the moment, I was solving the remaining details..
Y por último, decidí colocar un fondo de color y mi firma para dar por finalizada la ilustración.
And finally, I decided to place a colored background and my signature to finish the illustration.
Disfruté mucho el proceso y el resultado final, y de corazón espero les haya gustado tanto como a mí. Nunca había compartido por acá a algún personaje policial o detectivesco, por lo que me causa curiosidad sus opiniones. ¡Un gran abrazo y tome mucha agua!

Me ha encantado, de hecho me gusta mucho como le das forma al cabello, es algo que todavía no aprendo bien cuando se trata de que se vean las líneas del cabello.
