(ESP-ENG) Miguel Bernardo, The Young Baker in Love - Digital Paint
En esta ocasión quise compartir con ustedes el concepto de arte que realicé del personaje principal de una nueva historia corta de romance que publicaré por acá en la plataforma dentro de poco.
El personaje se llama Miguel y es un joven panadero que cae enamorado de una chica, un día en el que ella se presenta en el local. Es una historia que me gusta mucho y disfruté bastante el escribir, por lo que espero pronto poder publicarla.
En este siguiente post, les mostraré el "Paso a Paso" del diseño de mi protagonista que ilustré en el programa de dibujo: "Paint Tool Sai". Amé el resultado final y espero les encante tanto como a mi.
This time I wanted to share with you the concept art I made of the main character of a new romance short story that I will publish here on the platform soon.
The character's name is Miguel and he is a young baker who falls in love with a girl one day when she shows up at the shop. It's a story that I really like and enjoyed writing, so I hope to publish it soon.
In this next post, I will show you the "Step by Step" of the design of my main character that I illustrated in the drawing program: "Paint Tool Sai". I loved the final result and I hope you love it as much as I do.
Step by Step:
Comencé realizando un boceto rústico de Miguel, presentandolo de pie y saludando.
I began by making a rustic sketch of Miguel, introducing him standing and waving.
Luego, definí al personaje y detallé los accesorios de su ropa y demás.
Then, I defined the character and detailed the accessories of his clothes and so on.
Acto seguido, realicé el Line Art, puliendo por completo detalles de diseño y dejando todo preparado para empezar con el coloreado. Con el coloreado, quería que este estuviera caracterizado por tener una paleta de colores pastel y que fuera bastante agradable a la vista.
Then, I made the line art, polishing all the design details and leaving everything ready to start with the coloring. With the coloring, I wanted it to be characterized by a pastel color palette and to be quite pleasing to the eye.
Por ultimo, decidí corregir un poco los colores en general y ajustar la "Saturación" de los mismos, para que estos se apreciaran más vivos. También coloreé de un tono rosado muy claro el fondo, y agregué mi firma en la parte superior del dibujo, dando por finalizado la ilustración.
Finally, I decided to correct the colors in general and adjust the "Saturation" of the colors, so that they would look more vivid. I also colored the background in a very light pink tone, and added my signature at the top of the drawing, finishing the illustration.
Con esto, finalizo mi publicación del día de hoy. Me encantó el concepto de arte de Miguel, considero es muy amigable a la vista, y siento que los colores pastel quedan muy bien con su personalidad y el tono general de la historia que protagoniza. Hay otros personajes en dicha historia a los que me encantaría realizarles su propia publicación individual en su momento, por lo que espero de corazón les haya gustado este post tanto como a mí. I loved Miguel's concept art, I think it's very friendly to the eye, and I feel that the pastel colors fit very well with his personality and the general tone of the story he's starring in.
