A Girl Outfit Study-digital paint
Today I decided to practice my drawing, focusing solely on making clothes. I hadn't practiced something specific for a long time, and the clothes, and folds of themselves, seemed perfect to start with.
It was then that I set out to find an image that would serve as a reference for the practice in question, so I decided to enter my pinterest profile to achieve my goal.
I quickly found it and got to work.
I loved the final result, and I'm really happy with the practice. I hope you like it as much as I do, and I can read your comments. A big hug. Take good care of yourselves and drink water.
Step by Step:
The first thing I do is look at the reference photograph to understand how the pleats work on our model's clothes.
Then, I proceed to make a general sketch of her anatomy.
This sketch serves as a base for me to scribble on top what I think should be the main folds in her clothing.
The first thing I do is color her skin.
Then I use a lighter color, on his abdomen and chest, to give the feeling of light and shadow.
I do the same job with her sweater, placing a dark gray color.
Continuing with her jogger, performing the same procedure.
Then, I add an oak brown to her hair, defining the base color of it.
Continuing then with the coloring of the shadows, with a darker brown.
I then color her crop top a lighter gray, quickly defining her shadows.
And last but not least, I color the background a bit and add my signature to the drawing.
