Pokemon Shining Pearl - Starting the Game [#001 Let's Play in GIFS][DE/ENG]

Together with @annasdiary I bought the game Pokemon - Shining Pearl. The first big decision to make was: What gender should our character be? We let chance decide. Even numbers for male, odd numbers for female character. The dice was rolled a 5!
Zusammen mit @annasdiary habe ich mir das Spiel Pokemon - Leuchtende Perle gekauft. Die erste große Entscheidung die es zu treffen galt: Welches Geschlecht soll unser Charakter haben? Wir haben den Zufall entscheiden lassen. Gerade Zahlen für männlichen, ungerade Zahlen für weiblichen Charakter. Gewürfelt wurde eine 5!

At the time, we didn't realize that you can now choose from 8! characters to choose from. Wow! We then decided on the character that looks most like @annasdiary.
Zu dem Zeitpunkt war uns noch nicht klar, dass man mittlerweile aus 8! Charaktern wählen kann. Wow! Wir haben uns dann für den Charakter entschieden, der @annasdiary am ähnlichsten sieht.
If the looks are already based on her we should take the Name: Änna.
Wenn das Aussehen schon auf ihr beruht wieso dann nicht einfach auf der Name: Änna.
We were supposed to give a name to our friend. We decided to name him Tommy. We are a little confused, because usually you give a name to your rival.
Unseren Freund sollten wir ebenfalls einen Namen geben. Wir haben uns für Tommy entschieden. Wir sind etwas verwirrt, da man normalerweise seinem Rivalen einen Namen gibt.
What do you do before you start any Pokemon adventure? That's right. Sleep. No joke, we were more than surprised that you can now interact with your bed. One thing up front, it only seems to work with this bed. (Not that we tried that already *cough*). Anna, by the way, is completely convinced and excited about the cute graphics of this game. We both agree that the graphics of Pokemon Let's Go Evoli were great, but not quite what we like. Pokemon Sword didn't really feel like a Pokemon, which is why we're really pleased with the visuals chosen here!
Was macht man bevor man jedes Pokemon-Abenteuer beginnt? Richtig! Schlafen. Kein Witz, wir waren mehr als überrascht, dass man jetzt auch mit dem Bett interagieren kann. Eins vorweg, es scheint nur mit diesem Bett zu klappen. (Nicht das wir das bereits versucht hätten *hust*). Anna ist übrigens komplett überzeugt und begeistert von der süßen Grafik dieses Spiels. Wir sind uns beide einig, dass die Grafik von Pokemon Let's Go Evoli toll war, aber nicht ganz das was wir mögen. Pokemon Schwert hat sich nicht wirklich wie ein Pokemon angefühlt, weshalb wir wirklich erfreut über die hier gewählte Optik sind!
As in any good Pokemon game, the first thing that happens is that our parents want to get rid of us. In the world of Pokemon, we're still a kid, but our parents don't seem to want to have anything to do with us anymore. They either tell us that the professor is waiting outside or that we should go visit our neighbor. For this game, it's the last option: We're supposed to visit our neighbor Tommy. By the way, you can see that our mother wants to get rid of us: If you interact with the fridge, you get the hint that your mother's favorite desserts are inside. Not ours, not Änna's, but only the mother's desserts. If that's not a reason to leave home!?
Wie in jedem guten Pokemon Spiel geht es erstmal darum, dass unsere Eltern uns loswerden wollen. In der Welt von Pokemon sind wir noch ein Kind, aber unsere Eltern wollen scheinbar nichts mehr mit uns zutun haben, und erzählen uns entweder das draußen der Professor wartet oder wir beim Nachbarn vorbei schauen wollen. Für dieses Spiel gilt letzteres: Wir sollen unseren Nachbarn Tommy besuchen. Woran man übrigens besonders merkt, dass unsere Mutter uns loswerden will: Wenn man mit dem Kühlschrank interagiert, erhält man den Hinweis, dass im Kühlschrank die lieblings Desserts der Mutter drinnen sind. Nicht unsere, nicht die von Änna, sondern nur die der Mutter. Wenn das kein Grund ist sein zu Hause zu verlassen!?
