Mylor Crowling Plus Magic Monsters Equals VICTORY!!

Chaos Legion Has Changed Everything

Previously my best Splinter was Earth. Now it is Fire. When I say best it is the one I win with the most. Before in Earth Splinter, Mylor Crowling with some Melee Attack monster would do some damage, especially in the low mana games.

With the release of Chaos Legion, we now have to use the Earth Splinter as a Magic attack splinter. Instead of using Obsidian for that extra Magic Damage, I use Mylor Crowling with Magic Attack Monsters. When they are attacked by a Melee Monster the Thorns come out in retaliation.

Failed Summoner Rocks With Thorns

Failed Summoner with its low Mana of 2 has a special ability. It returns some of the damage it receives from a Magic Attack. Combine him with Mylor Crowling and now Failed Summoner can return Melee Attacks with thorns. At first glance Failed Summoner may look like a waste of a position but in low mana battles, he is effective in any position.

The funny thing is your opponent will never see this coming especially if you go up against Tarsa in the Fire Splinter as she adds 1 life to all her monsters and 1 melee attack to her melee monsters. If you do not have a tight line Tarsa will tear you up especially if Lava Monster is in the first position.

First and Second Positions

Mycelic SlipSpawn in 1st position and Regal Peryton in 2nd position. This is a great team especially against Lava Monster in 1st position. The thorns that come from Mylor Crowling will help break down Lava Monster plus Mycelic SlipSpawn will keep the sneaks and snipes from attacking your weaker cards on the line.

Regal Peryton does not have a very strong attack but this monster is hard to hit with flight and a speed of 5. This is a great card to team up with Mylor because even missed attacks get thorns in return.

We Need A Tank Heal

Goblin Psychic is an awesome tank heal because it has a magic attack of 2, I have seen this card attack and heal in the same round. Very useful to have especially with a monster that has taunt. Goblin Psychic works really well with Unicorn.

The Khmer Princess is a low mana card that is useful in low mana battles, she only has a magic attack of 1 but that bypasses the shield and attacks the opposing monster life directly. She may not last long with only 2 life but is most often useful especially in this case because Mylor's thorns are extra damage.

It Is Clear I Need More Cards

I need to buy Mylor and level him up to level three asap. This will be a great combination that only gets better as their levels rise. I also need more Magic ability cards for not only Earth Splinter but the others as well. Sneak, Snipe, and Reach are all monsters that I need to search out and acquire because a lineup that is all magic and distance attacks will do well against monsters and summoners that have thorns and or resistance to melee attacks.
