Week 134 New Year Edition- Looking back and ahead (one)

I missed last week challenge due to some engagements. But seeing this weekend's topics, I couldn't hold it but will like to share with you the yoke I broke in 2022 that changed my thoughts and attitudes. Because of that, am carrying to 2023 and beyond because it will better my life if I continue to do so.

Growing up as a child, we are not permitted to visit anyone. But only share our thoughts or problems with family members. We only meet with poeple in schools or in a large gathering's which my parents must be involved. Because of that, am not too good in making friends or sharing my feelings with anyone who's not my family members.

When I became an adult, I started associating with poeple to the point I met a young lady who became my best friend. I enjoyed our 5 years of friendship because she treated me like her junior sister and always advice me on things that will benefit me. In 2012, she had a serious problem which break our friendship because I was affected badly. Because of that, I stopped anything called friendship. No best friend, always on my own.

That I doesn't make friends doesn't mean that I don't associate with poeple. But I don't let anyone know who I am. So, when I started blogging in 2022, I met many friends both in Internet and offline. I was still scared of them. Until when I attended a program 3 months ago, the team of the program was all about friendship and the benefits of having good friend around you. So, I started searching for a best friend. Fortunately, I found Madam Christy who became my friend on the month of December 2022.

Though our friendship is just 1 month old, but she possess qualities I need in a friend. Having Mrs Christy as my best friend has really changed my thoughts and attitudes because she has proven to me that she has my best Interest at heart by her words and actions. She keeps to agreement and a secret keeper. I never knew that poeple with good heart like her still exist, but with her, I have a different thinking now about friendships.

Madam Christy will remain my best friend in 2023. With her next year, I will not make some silly mistakes I made some years back. She is a good advicer of mine and always carry me along when she sees good opportunities. So, 2022 brought me a great relief because I was able to make a close friend who understands feelings and made me know that poeple are different. 2023 will be a great year with her because, I can easily disclose my worries to her with the hope of getting a good advice and at the same time, have the privilege of getting more opportunities.
