dCity : How viable are activating events in the current scenario?

As you all know, that tax rates are more than 100%, and it is not possible to earn SIM income by just buying cards that have income. We have to make some strategy to play the game. Events are also an exciting and popular feature of the game. But before activating any event, we must think twice and calculate all parameters that, would it be profitable for our city or not?
Events are to boost attributes of city for 24 hours and also give some chances to mint new cards. But every event has some cost in different tokens. As you have to pay something to get benefit from an event, so we must calculate that either is it viable to activate any particular event or not.
BEER FEST 🍺
This event boost Popularity (50-100) and gives chances to mint Worker and Hard Worker cards every 2 hours. Cost of the event is 5 BEER (Currently Ask price of 5 BEER in the market is about 0.5 Hive = 1150 SIM)
If you decide to activate this event you have to spend about 1150 SIM and in return firstly you will get average increase Popularity about 80 for 24 hours which helps to improve chances to get new citizen. But chances are very thin that you will get any new citizen due to this boost. Secondly, there are 20% chances to get a Worker or Hard worker card every 2 hours. So, max chances are that you will get 3 cards of Worker/Hard worker.
In the market, current ask price of Worker card is 164 SIM and Hard worker card's ask price is 554 SIM. In the best scenario, if you get 2 Worker and 1 Hard Worker cards your benefit is just 882 SIM, while cost is 1150 SIM.

SCIENCE CONVENTION 💡
The event randomly boost Education 40-120 for 24 hours and gives 20% chances to get Scientist card every 2 hours. Also, you can win a STEM miner, but chances are rare. Cost of the event is 50 STEM which is equivalent to about 3400 SIM at current ask price. In the best case scenario, if you get 3 scientists then as per the market ask price 288 SIM for one, it is far cheaper than the event cost. If the event boost 80 education, then for one day your technology discovery chances increases by 1%.

ART CONVENTION 🖌️
The cost of this event is 250CCC, which is equivalent to 900 SIM at current market ask price of CCC. It also boosts 80-180 Creativity randomly and gives 20% chances to win Artist card every 2 hours. Bonus in Creativity increases the chances of minting a Background/Animation card, but again chances are very less. If you get 3 Artist cards, then the event cost higher than the cost of market ask price of Artist card.

WEED FEST ☘️
This event costs to you 30 WEEDs which is equivalent to about 575 SIM. Similar to Art Convention, it gives bonus Creativity and Artist cards. As the cost of the event is very reasonable, you can WEED production. It is also a profit.
POKER NIGHT 🎲
This event required, 20000 GAMER token to activate, which is equivalent to about 9200 SIM. Benefits you get from this event are (1) decreases crime rate by 5-20% which is irrelevant in current high tax scenario. (2) 15% chances to get Gambler and 5% chances to get Addicted Gambler card every 2 hours. If you get one card each then the market price of both the card is about 3425 SIM which is one third of event cost.

SPLINTERFEST ❄️
The cost of the event is 500 DEC which is equivalent to about 1275 SIM at current price. It gives 5% bonus ENTRY production, 18% chance to get Gamer card every 2 hours and 2% chance to win CHAOS pack. If you get only 1 Gamer card in 24 hours, then it will cover your event cost. Other benefits are a bonus to you.

Of course, events are a fun and exciting part of the game, but if you are here just for fun, it doesn't matter for you either it is profitable or not. But if you are investing your hard-earned money, then think twice before activating any event.
