La familia, esa gente amada, ese grupo que conformamos y al cual le inyectamos nuestros valores, esos que se sienten felices de tenernos y que pueden pasar mucho rato con nosotros: conversando, riendo, haciendo alguna comida, viendo una película, o simplemente haciéndonos compañía, son un regalo de Dios.

Todos tenemos una familia, la propia o la que creamos, producto de una afinidad especial. A veces, en los trabajos o cuando pasamos tiempo haciendo una actividad especial nos compenetramos tanto que terminamos llamándonos así.

Quiero compartir en esta iniciativa de Family-friends llamada Tiempo de Calidad en Familia todo lo que significa mi familia para mí y me centraré en mis cuatro hijos, tres de ellos con su respectiva familia.

A comienzo del año 2020 me mudé con mi pareja, a otra ciudad que está a seis horas de donde estuve viviendo por 36 años, me refiero al estado Apure, allí conformé mi núcleo familiar, la idea era visitarlos seguido pero se atravesó la pandemia y los planes cambiaron, no obstante, he podido ir a verlos aprovechando que muchos cumpleaños se concentran en los meses de marzo y junio.

Estoy bien, vivo días bonitos de convivencia, pero cada cierto tiempo debo ir a visitarlos, a ver sus ojos de cerca, a reír con ellos y disfrutar de las ocurrencias de cada nieto, siete en total.

La invitación de este post me tocó directamente cuando dice:

Piensa en un momento en el que por alguna razón, una mudanza o un viaje largo, te separan de tu familia y ya no puedes pasar tiempo con ellos muy a menudo.

No tengo que imaginarlo, lo vivo todos los días, no es fácil estar lejos de ellos, la tecnología ayuda a ese contacto permanente, pero no abraza; los abrazos de los hijos y nietos están al otro lado del río.

En la iniciativa nos dejan estas preguntas:

¿Tienes algo de tu tiempo para compartir con tu familia?

Mi familia siempre va a contar conmigo, necesito saber de ellos todos los días; si están enfermos me preocupo, aunque todos son adultos, (el menor de mis hijos tiene treinta años), a mí me hace sentir bien saber que ellos también lo están, eso es inevitable.

¿Qué actividades hacéis normalmente juntos?

Hay un momento mágico, que me llena infinitamente, que es cuando puedo sentarme a conversar con ellos y están los cuatro hijos. Entonces no terminamos un tema cuando ya está surgiendo otro, las carcajadas no se hacen esperar, es un rato divertido que acompañamos con café.

Hay dos de mis hijos que disfrutan una caminata conmigo, salgo con uno u otro y conversamos muchísimo de eso que muchas veces no podemos abordar telefónicamente. Con otra de mis hijas me acuesto en su cama y me va contando las vivencias y ocurrencias de los niños, generalmente alguno de los nietos también se suma al buen rato. Y tengo un hijo músico con quien mantengo buen intercambio de melodías que nos gustan, ese es también un rato muy ameno.

¿Te gustaría tener más tiempo para pasar con tus seres queridos?

Sí, indudablemente, aunque es la calidad lo que importa, cuando estamos juntos no desaprovechamos los momentos, siempre hay algo que hacer, que probar, que conocer y el tiempo lo hacemos nosotros.

¿Con qué miembros de tu familia pasas tiempo regularmente?

No podría especificar con quién paso más tiempo porque generalmente estoy con uno u otro y virtualmente sé de todos. Todo depende del momento y la ocasión que se esté presentando. Puedo salir a pasear con uno o conversar largamente con otro, pero no hay privilegios.

¿Es importante pasar tiempo de calidad con tu familia? ¿Por qué?

Sí, definitivamente es la calidad lo importante. Cada momento donde podemos disfrutar de una reunión y conversar mucho es importante para mí.

Debo hacer hincapié en que todos tienen muy buen humor y estar con ellos garantiza un rato de risas lo cual es muy beneficioso para la salud de todos.

Es una familia armoniosa que disfruta la música y los buenos momentos. Antes de la pandemia nos íbamos cada año a pasar una semana en la playa. Esos momentos de felicidad están bien guardados en nuestros recuerdos con el deseo inmenso de que vuelvan a repetirse.

Tengo también mi familia cercana aquí en Aragua, una hermana y una prima con las que suelo pasar gratos momentos ya que están a pocos kilómetros.

Y mi espacio vital aquí donde vivo, donde me siento acompañada, dedicada a mis aficiones: pintar, leer, escribir y vivir la satisfacción de tener una gran familia.

I don't have to imagine it, I live it every day, it's not easy being away from them, technology helps this permanent contact, but it doesn't embrace; the hugs of the children and grandchildren are on the other side of the river.

Do you have some of your time to share with your family?

My family will always count on me, I need to hear from them every day; if they are sick I worry, although they are all adults (the youngest of my children is thirty years old), it makes me feel good to know that they are too, that is inevitable.

What activities do you normally do together?

There is a magical moment, which fills me infinitely, which is when I can sit down to talk with them and the four children are there. So we don't finish a topic when another one is already emerging, the laughter doesn't take long, it's a fun time that we accompany with coffee.

There are two of my children who enjoy a walk with me, I go out with one or the other and we talk a lot about it that many times we cannot address by phone. With another of my daughters I sleep in her bed and she tells me about the experiences and occurrences of the children, usually one of the grandchildren also joins in the good time. And I have a musician son with whom I have a good exchange of melodies that we like, that is also a very pleasant time.

Would you like to have more time to spend with your loved ones?

Yes, undoubtedly, although it is the quality that matters, when we are together we do not waste the moments, there is always something to do, to try, to discover and we make time.

Which members of your family do you spend time with on a regular basis?

I couldn't specify who I spend more time with because I'm usually with one or the other and I know virtually everyone. It all depends on the moment and the occasion that is presenting itself. I can go for a walk with one or talk at length with another, but there are no privileges.

Is it important to spend quality time with your family? Why?

Yes, it is definitely the quality that is important. Every moment where we can enjoy a meeting and talk a lot is important to me.

I must emphasize that everyone is in a very good mood and being with them guarantees a time of laughter which is very beneficial for everyone's health.

It is a harmonious family that enjoys music and good times. Before the pandemic we used to go every year to spend a week at the beach. Those moments of happiness are well kept in our memories with the immense desire that they be repeated again.

I also have my close family here in Aragua, a sister and a cousin with whom I usually spend pleasant moments since they are only a few kilometers away.

And my vital space here where I live, where I feel accompanied, dedicated to my hobbies: painting, reading, writing and living the satisfaction of having a big family.
