Saludos a todos los amantes de las artes manuales! Hoy me complace compartir con ustedes un tutorial muy sencillo de seguir y seguro que les será de utilidad. Vamos a preparar porcelana fría casera con ingredientes sencillos de conseguir. Acompáñame en este paso a paso.

Ingredients:

150 grams of corn starch
1 tablespoon of body oil
50 milliliters of white glue
1 tablespoon of vinegar
Watercolor or acrylic paint

Ingredientes:

150 gramos de fécula de maíz
1 chucarada de aceite corporal
50 militros de pegamento blanco
1 cucharada de vinagre
Acuarela o pintura acrílica

Procedure of elaboration:

-We take a clean and dry container. We are going to place 100 grams of corn starch.

Procedimiento de elaboración:

-Tomamos un recipiente limpio y seco. Vamos a colocar 100 gramos de la fécula de maíz.

-Add the oil that will give elasticity to the dough, the vinegar that will help it keep longer and the glue. Stir until everything is integrated.

-Agregamos el aceite que le dará elasticidad a ma masa, el vinagre que ayudará a que se conserve por más tiempo y el pegamento. Revolvemos hasta que todo se integre.

-We take the dough in our hands, I used gloves to avoid contact with the glue. Knead with movements from the outside to the inside.

-Tomamos la masa en las manos, yo utilicé guantes para evitar el contacto con el pegamento. Amasamos con movimientos de afuera hacia adentro.

We will know that the dough is ready when we press the center and the finger sinks without cracking it.

Sabremos que la masa está lista cuando presionamos el centro y el dedo se hunde sin agrietarla.

-Once the dough is ready, wrap it in plastic wrap and store it in a container. We cover it so that it does not have any contact with the air and let it rest until the moment of using it.

-Una vez lista la masa, vamos a envolverla en plástico y a guardarla en un recipiente. Tapamos para que no tenga ningún contacto con el aire y dejamos reposar hasta el momento de utilizarla.

-To color the dough. We are going to use watercolors or acrylic paint. We place a drop of color in the center of the portion we need to color and we will knead from the outside to the inside until the dough becomes uniformly the desired color.

-We can put a few drops of oil so that it does not lose its elasticity. And we keep it in the plastic wrap inside the container.

-Para darle color a la masa. Vamos a utilizar acuarelas o pintura acrílica. Colocamos una gota de color en el centro de la porción que necesitamos colorear y vamos a amasar de afuera hacia adentro hasta que la masa se torne uniformemente del color deseado.

-Podemos colocar unas gotas de aceite para que no pierda la elasticidad. Y guardamos en el papel plástico dentro del recipiente.

And this way we have ready our homemade cold porcelain dough to be able to make our works.

This mass in a hermetically sealed place, can last up to 1 week before using it.

Y de esta manera tenemos lista nuestra masa de porcelana fría casera para poder realizar nuestros trabajos.

Esta masa en un lugar cerrado herméticamente, puede durar hasta 1 semana antes de utilizarlo.

To work the cold porcelain we can acquire stecas of different tips to shape the dough. We also find molds of figures and letters that we could use to facilitate the works, especially when they are in quantities.

Para trabajar la porcelana fría podemos adquirir estecas de diferentes puntas para darle forma a la masa. También encontramos moldes de figuras y letras que podríamos utilizar para facilitar los trabajos, sobre todo cuando son en cantidades.

We must keep in mind that when the dough comes in contact with air it will dry and become porcelain (hardened).
