Literary pieces I read in 2022 / What will I read in 2023? [Eng-Esp]
Greetings book club friends! Today I would like to join the meeting of book lovers where we are invited to summarize our books read in 2022 and to give a projection of our literary aspirations for 2023.
The year 2022, for me, has been full of busy times. I moved country and that required a lot of effort to fit into the new life. But I was still able to make time to read some books, not as many as I would have liked, but some that I share with you below.
Books that accompanied me in 2022
For the month of May, I found in a box of my moving stuff, a book I read some time ago A Day in the Life of Odette, Daughter of the French Revolution. I devoured it in seconds and then shared the review in the community. In this book Odette tells us, through a letter she sends to her grandmother, what the French revolution was like from its beginnings and how things were back then. It is a book that I really enjoy, as the authors manage to make the reader feel that he/she is really reading that letter with all those real facts narrated from the perspective of a little girl.
In August I read Ifigenia, by Teresa de la Parra. This book was given to me by my mom because she had 2 identical copies of the novel and wanted to share 1 with me. This novel tells the story of a woman from her early adventures to adulthood. I have yet to review it.
Maria by Jorge Isaac also accompanied me between its lines, not only did I suffer with the beautiful protagonist, I also remembered my school years and how I read it for a school project. I must say that it was thanks to a meeting of this community that I was encouraged to read this novel again, since we were asked a few months ago to show our libraries and among my books was Maria and I could not help but sit down to read it.

I read a couple of digital books, from my personal library. One of them was The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes, I found it a modern work with episodes of the normal life of a teenage girl, student and with the dramas that characterize that age. It was very good.
La tregua by Mario Benedetti was the other digital novel I read. This literary piece is a story of nostalgia and frustration. It makes me think of all those people who suffer for love and don't have a happy ending.
Literary Works to Read in 2023
I aspire to have a year full of books I haven't read yet and others that I would like to read again. I got off to a good start, the first week of January I stopped by the used bookstore where they barter, buy and sell books we have already read.
The lady who runs the bookstore told me that I could take my books and exchange them for others that I haven't read. She also told me that she could sell me some of them. So I bought some novels at a very good price.

¡Saludos amigos del club de libros! Hoy me gustaría sumarme al encuentro de los amantes de los libros donde nos invitan a resumir nuestros libros leídos en el 2022 y a dar una proyección de nuestras aspiraciones literarias para 2023.
El año 2022, para mí estuvo lleno de ocupaciones. Me mudé de país y eso requiere de mucho esfuerzo para poder encajar en la nueva vida. Pero aún así pude hacer tiempo para leer algunos libros, no tantos como me habría gustado, pero si algunos que les comparto a continuación.
Libros que me acompañaron en 2022
Para el mes de mayo, me encontré en una caja de mis cosas de la mudanza, un libro que leí hace tiempo Un día en la vida de Odette, hija de la revolución francesa. Lo devoré en segundos y luego compartí la reseña en la comunidad. En este libro Odette nos narra, mediante una carta que envía a su abuela, cómo fue la revolución francesa desde sus inicios y como eran las cosas para ese entonces. Es un libro que disfruto mucho, ya que las autoras logran hacer que el lector sienta que realmente está leyendo esa carta con todos esos hechos reales narrados desde la perspectiva de una niña.
Por el mes de agosto leí Ifigenia, de Teresa de la Parra. Este libro me lo regaló mi mamá porque ella tenía 2 ejemplares idénticos de la novela y quiso compartir 1 conmigo. Esta novela nos narra la historia de una mujer desde sus primeras aventuras hasta su edad adulta. Tengo pendiente reseñarla.
María de Jorge Isaac también me acompañó entre sus líneas, no solamente sufrí con la bella protagonista, también recordé mis años de escuela y cómo fue que la leí para un trabajo escolar. Debo decir que fue gracias a un encuentro de esta comunidad que me animé a leer de nuevo esta novela, ya que nos pidieron hace unos meses que enseñáramos nuestras bibliotecas y entre mis libros estaba María y yo no pude evitar sentarme a leerla.
Mi participación en el concurso mi pequeña biblioteca
Leí un par de libros digitales, de mi biblioteca personal. Uno de ellos fue la chica que dejaste atrás de Jojo Moyes, me pareció una obra moderna con episodios de la vida normal de una adolescente, estudiante y con los dramas que caracterizan esa edad. Fue muy buena.
La tregua de Mario Benedetti fue la otra novela digital que leí. Esta pieza literaria es una historia de nostalgia y frustración. Me hace pensar en todas aquellas personas que sufren por amor y no tienen un final feliz.
Obras literarias para leer en el 2023
Aspiro tener un año lleno de libros que no he leído aún y otros que me gustaría volver a leer. Comencé bien, la primera semana de enero pasé por la librería de libros usados donde hacen trueques, compran y venden libros que ya leímos.
La señor que atiende la librería me dijo que podía llevar mis libros y cambiarlos por otros que no he leido. También me dijo que ella podía venderme algunos. Entonces compré a muy buen precio unas novelas.

Qué bella selección amiguita, recuerdo que María la leí en mi tiempo de colegio, o sea, cuando era yo quien estudiaba, jajaja, no cuando me tocó enseñar. Creo que me atrevería a leerla de nuevo, recuerdo que fue triste pero hermosa, aunque no recuerdo todos los detalles. Por eso los libros siempre deben tener una segunda lectura, porque lo que no se grabó en la primera, estoy segura que quedará sellado en la segunda. ¡Un abrazo inmenso!
