Cold porcelain is a material I love to work with. I have done several works, especially jewelry on my blog, but this is one of my favorites. To make the homemade cold porcelain I implemented 4 ingredients: cornstarch, body oil, vinegar and school glue. La porcelana fría es un material con el que me encanta trabajar. He realizado varios trabajos, especialmente de joyería en mi blog, pero este es uno de mis favoritos. Para realizar la porcelana fría casera implementé 4 ingredientes: fécula de maíz, aceite corporal, vinagre y pegamento escolar. For this work we will need the following materials:

-15 grams of homemade cold porcelain.
-2 earrings
-2 pendants for earrings
-jewelry wire
-Acrylic paints
water-based sealant

We will also need stecas to mold the dough, flower-shaped cutting mold, plastic, a sheet of paper and pencil.

Para este trabajo necesitaremos los siguientes materiales:

-15 gramos de porcelana fría casera
-2 argollas
-2 colgantes para aretes
-alambre de bisutería
-Pinturas acrílicas
-sellador al agua

También necesitaremos estecas para moldear la masa, molde de corte en forma de flor, plástico, una hoja de papel y lápiz.

Procedure

-We take the homemade cold porcelain and give it color of our preference. I used a pastel purple color.

-Taking small portions of the dough we are going to make flowers with the help of the cutter mold and the stecas.

Let the pieces dry in the air for about 30 minutes. When they harden we are ready to continue.

-On the sheet of paper we draw the shape we want to give to the pendant. I made an open heart. Then we place a plastic paper over the sheet to replicate the design with the cold porcelain dough.

-With the bijouterie wire, we make a ring for the pendant.

-We begin to cover the heart with the pieces that are hardened. It is very important to apply school glue before gluing each piece. With the help of a skewer stick or a stake we make pressure so that the flowers and leaves sink into the dough. Let them rest in the air.

-For the earrings, we are going to make a pair of hearts with the dough, with the bijouterie wire we make some rings to hang and we apply glue to fix the pieces.

-We place the ring and the pendant for earrings and let them dry in the air.

As the base of the pendant and the earrings are larger, let them dry for about 4 hours so that they harden well and do not run the risk of cracking the piece.

-Once the pieces are hardened, we are going to give them a few touches with acrylic paint, I used a purple and neon pink, also gold for a more elegant finish.

Procedimiento

-Tomamos la porcelana fría casera y le damos color de nuestra preferencia. Yo utilicé un color violeta pastel.

-Tomando pequeñas porciones de la masa vamos a hacer flores con ayuda del molde cortador y las estecas.

Dejamos las piezas secar al aire aproximadamente 30 minutos. Cuando endurezcan estaremos listos para continuar.

-En la hoja de papel dibujamos la forma que queremos darle al colgante. Yo hice un corazón abierto. Luego colocamos un papel plástico sobre la hoja para replicar el diseño con la masa de porcelana fría.

-Con el alambre de bisutería, hacemos un aro para el colgante.

-Comenzamos a cubrir el corazón con las piezas que están endurecidas. Es muy importante aplicar pegamento escolar antes de pegar cada pieza. Con ayuda de un palito de brocheta o una esteca hacemos presión para que las flores y las hojas se hundan en la masa. Dejamos reposar al aire.

-Para los aretes, vamos a hacer un par de corazones con la masa, con el alambre de bisutería hacemos unos aros para colgar y aplicamos pegamento para fijar las piezas.

-Colocamos la argolla y el colgante para aretes y dejamos secar al aire.

Como la base del colgante y de los aretes son más grandes, dejamos secar por 4 horas aproximadamente para que se endurezcan bien y no correr el riesgo de que la pieza se agriete.

-Una vez endurecidas las piezas, vamos a darle unos toques con pintura acrílica, yo utilicé un violeta y rosa neon, también dorado para que el acabado sea más elegante.

-Finally, in order to protect the pieces, we will apply a coat of sealer. And let it air dry.

-Para finalizar, con el objetivo de proteger las piezas, vamos a dar una capa de sellador. Y dejamos secar al aire.

Así estará listo nuestro conjunto de joyería "corazón primaveral".

This spring heart is a self gift. I love purple hearts and this design of an open heart means that I am always ready to accept new friends and to give them my friendship and love.

I really enjoyed working on this project. I am passionate about creating with my own hands and making a jewelry set from scratch was a perfect self gift for this Valentine's Day.

Este corazón primaveral es un auto regalo. Me encantan kos corazones de color violeta y este diseño de un corazón abierto, significa que siempre estoy dispuesta a aceptar amistades nuevas y a brindarles mi amistad y cariño.
