Which Play to Earn Game Are You Accidentally Addicted To?

I have to admit that I'm secretly addicted to a game that isn't Splinterlands. It's Alien Ships. I found out about it reading one of @chubb149 posts. He's always exploring games and he's a great read if you want to learn about play to earn games and NFTS.

Alienis an old timey flash style games similar to the ones I grew up on with the difference that you own the ship I used to have to pay a quarter to play in the arcade.

It doesn't seem like such a novel idea in the day and age we live in but it would blow my 8 year old self's mind and I like it.

You buy the ships on Atomic and play them in the game. But, this game is hard and I'm terrible at it. I get killed way too easy. I bought 4 ships so I can play a bit while I wait for each ship to recharge but I could have opted for more expensive and more equipped ships with better shields and more ability to move through the game.

But for now I'm just playing and if I get sick of it, I can just sell my ships and move on. That's the beauty of it for me but I waste a lot of time playing for very little payoff unless this game catches on.

The basic ship is cheap enough that I'll probably hang on to them unless I need wax for a splinterlands card or some other shiny new NFTS.

Let me know in the comments if there is a game your hooked on. I'm always interested to learn about them. I have a few more and I'll write about them under the new oneup tag and tribe started by @flauwy

What is the earning potential on Alien Ships? I kind of stopped paying attention to WAX.

I think the value of the ships you blend and build. There are a lot of cool games via wax but this isn't traditional play to earn. The more I play the more credits I earn and spend the credits to upgrade my ships. Definitely a grind but I like it for now. I don't think anyone is getting rich on this one but the nfts might be worth something because you can use them.

Lol, play to earn is still a few developments away from real addiction. Well, one can get addicted to the earnings, but not the game.

well i think people get addicted to games. You can't teenagers to get off their xboxes or whatever they play. Play to earn will just get better. I think the earning will diminish but I think most popular games will have to get involved to stay relevent.

Exactly my point. people get addicted to real games. Play to earn games aren't developed to that extent.

Splinterlands is a better addiction. I'm interested to see what chaos legion means for the game. I have a feeling I will like it less but for now it's my number one way to interact with the hive blockchain.

I still don't like NFTs games, look for PVP games even if dominoes and backgammon

I think games are the best use case for NFTs so far. I wasn't into games but owning game pieces is super cool.

I can't wait for these next evolutions of games to really start coming out.

And I can see that it wouldn't be any fun if you just signed on got paid and everything was super boring.

Wonder who is making these games I definitely would love to collaborate on one. I've got a bunch of killer ideas for some of these games.

Where are the game developers hiding at?

I imagine ALL the popular games that kids play are going to adapt quickly to the concept in some form. I can't see kids playing games for free anymore. These companies will pay for their time and attention as opposed to the other way around.

I also think concert tickets will all become nfts as well by they way.

Again we have a big huge shift in thinking and a huge direction modification for The gaming community.

And I'm definitely going to be excited when I can play video games and make a healthy living. Professional video game and pot smoker person sounds like an excellent title to me.

Played it once, never did again, lol.

I'm not a gaming type, so none.
