In the type of activity we select Simple Association and in the name we put “vocals.as” and click on accept.
Step 3:
In the Options tab, User Interface, the skin “green.xml” is selected
Step 4:
In the Main Window tab, we click on background color to set the color.
We click on the color and then on accept.
This is the color of the main window.
Step 5:
The color of the Game window is set.
The color is selected and we click on accept.
Step 6:
We click on the Messages tab, to configure the initial message and the final message of our game.
In Initial Message- we click on the box and “Select which is the vowel” and press accept.
In Final message we write "Congratulations" and click on accept.
Step 7:
Now we can see how the interface of our game is looking in the option Test the operation of the activity.
Step 8:
We need to place the background color in the initial and final message, for this we click on the initial message, then on the Style option where we can configure the color, size and font and the background.
We click on background color. The color is selected and we click on accept.
To change the background color of the final message, we apply the same steps as above and it would look like this.
Let's try again how it goes:
Step 9:
We click on the panel tab, which is where we are going to configure the structure that the game will have, which is represented by two panels "Panel A and Panel B", in this case as it is a simple Association activity, the configuration of each panel are the same. Here it shows us the two panels A and B, with two rows and three columns.
In number of rows we configure it in 1 in number of columns in 5, in the Panel.
Step 10:
We change the size of the panels, placing in the width of the cells 70 pixels and height 139 pixels.
Step 11:
We click on the Media Library tab, where we are going to insert the images that we are going to use for the game.
For this we must have downloaded in a folder of our computer, the images that are going to be used in the game. These images were downloaded from the pixabay.com website and the vowel letters were made in the vector program Inkscape.
Click on the Add image icon, we look for the location where the images are located and we select it and press open.
It will show us a message that if you want to copy the selected file to the project folder, and select Yes, press several times, since we insert all the images at once.
In this way, we already have the images in the Media Library.
Step 12:
We go to the Activities tab, where we now begin to insert each of the images in each cell.
We click on the first column and then on the image to choose it.
The image of the plane is inserted in the first column.
We click accept.
Step 13:
We apply the previous steps and so it goes.
To finish, we must be careful when inserting the other images in Panel B, in the correct order, that is, if in panel A, in the first column we place the image of the Airplane, then in Panel B we must place the vowel A as the picture shows.
Step 14:
We save our game, in the File menu bar – save.
We can test the operation of the vowel game by clicking on test the operation of the activity.
Step 15:
To apply the activity with our students, we open Jclic Player and look for the name of our project.
