Ava and Ethan

Everyone in the community knows Ethan as a mischievous scamp and a swindler, he does nothing other than rob the people of their hard-earned currency, lifetime savings, and tangible assets!

As soon as the sun sets, everyone does things at a speedy pace just to get home on time to avoid the pain and humiliation that Ethan with his team inflicts on the poor citizens.

Ava just came into the town as of recently, she had no ideas on what happens around, she goes out and come back the way she wanted, one of the neighbors called for her attention, sat her down, and explained everything to her.

Mr. Randolph; Did you notice something weird in this community? you have to be extremely careful young lady because of these thieves that roam about at night looking for what is not theirs.

Ava replied... “I appreciate you telling me all of this thanks”.

“err mmm” before it skipped my mind, just so you know am not an ordinary girl Ava added.

Those last sentences shocked Mr. Randolph, he was quite amazed at what she said!

On a fateful day, Ava went to a show that is taking place in a cinema, she made her preparations for it because it was quite far from her home, she took a cab to the cinema and she was dropped, she made an offer to the cab driver which was that he will come at a certain time to pick her up, it was 10 pm the movie was over she placed a call to the driver but his number wasn't reachable, she waited for a while and then placed another call, his number isn't reachable, Ava became worried although she had her supernatural powers to protect her she needed to rekindle it again and that takes place at midnight.

Ava summon the courage to start moving perhaps she might be lucky enough to find a taxi while walking down the path, Indeed her faith was strong. She waved at the oncoming vehicle as it slows down...
She boarded the taxi without even checking who the driver was and gave him her location, immediately she hopped in and shut the car door.

She couldn't recognize him but he was looking like a rascal, his manners say it all!
Ethan turned back pointing a silencer at her...

“Bring out your money and credit cards right now!!” Ethan yelled at her.

Out of fear Ava gave him the money she had on her but she hid her credit card because her entire savings was there, she can't afford to lose it... she hopes and pray that it will clock 12 soon.
Just as she gave him the money he shot Ava right in her forehead and she slumped, she was breathing haphazardly waiting for midnight but she gave up the ghost.

He took the bag from her cold hands and emptied everything on the front seat beside him he picked out the credit card and shove it down in his pocket. Ethan drove to an abandoned area and dropped her body in the sewer it was midnight already, just immediately he left, he heard a shrieking sound and a burst of wicked laughter he turned back and front pointing his silencer in every direction he turned but he couldn't see anything, he hastens his step towards where he parked the car, open the car door but an unknown forced slammed it back!

He was becoming afraid that this has never happened to him, he opens for the second time standing to see if what repeated would repeat itself it never did.
So he sat down to shut the car door, insert the keys to start the car, the engine responded and he started driving he exhales.
He made a U-turn that's when he heard that evil laughter fading in and out suddenly Ava's spirit appeared and continued the laughter, he drove madly out of fear and was screaming his lungs out, he almost lost control of the wheel.

After a while, she vanished into thin air and he was almost home, by then he was afraid he couldn't sleep because he sees her in the dreams chasing him with different scary figures...

The mighty and feared Ethan could find no sleep, he was tormented day and night by the spirit of Ava consistently until he ran mad and confessed!
