Hello Splinterlands Fam,

I was having fun playing Splinterlands and I had this match that I used a very different approach. It was a dangerous one, abit of a gamble but it come out to be a successful one.

First let's start by showing you this 2 cards I always have in my roster because of specific things.

Exploding Dwarf

This card is basicaly very weak, not that low mana and it only adds 1 more speed at level 2. But it has utility in specific match types.

Exploding Rats

It's nearly same with dwarf but one less attack but 2 more speed.

Battle Time

This is a 21 Mana, only Fire, Lfe and Dragon allowed, Super Sneak + Up Close & Personal Ruleset Game. Super Sneak means all monsters except the frontline will attack to the last monster in line. And also only melee monsters are allowed.

If there was Earth possible I would totaly go with Mylor.

But there is no Earth so I started thinking what to do. Then I chose fire because of powerful Melee summoner Tarsa.

Then I started thinking. That was not a high mana so what to do. Then it struck me; I had the Exploding Dwarf and Rats, voila! So what to do is protect them and add maybe another swift attacker like Serpentine Spy.

Also, I would like express how important cards are Kobold Bruiser and Cocatrice are.

And yet, I had those two 0 mana cards chicken and Scorch Fiend and I use Fiend cause it also has 1 attack.

Let's see how can we use them:
Battle Link

As you can see my rival has a level 4 Malric Summoner, which will definitely have L4 cards. And me with a mere L2 team. Seriously, how could I win that?

A cerberus with healing abilities, A molten ogre negates my melee attack, a monkey and an ant L3, even the chicken has attack 😁 I have some stuff in my pocket but I really don't know!

This is what I'm talking about, the backside of my rivals team totaly obliterated at the end of the Round 1. I wasn't expecting something like that! But still there is that huge Molten Ogre and a Cerberus. Odds are on my rivals side, or is it?

Well well well, isn't that great! I'm winning with that puny team 😁

And I left with 4 more cards, maybe we can have another round with the same team πŸ˜‚

Conclusion:

Using those 1 health blast melee cards are a life saver and as you can see; very powerful in specific rulesets. Spice-up your gameplay with different strategies and don't worry about losing so much. You will see that one day you start seeing patterns and feel what will win and that day you will be ready to go up and forward.

Take Care,

Nice win. It really proves the power of choosing your cards carefully to align their strengths to the ruleset. Gotta love those zero mana cards too!

Thanks. Sometimes you just put a card somewhere else and it blows up bad but it worked perfect in this setting πŸ˜„ Gameplay only advances by playing again and again, by losing tons of games.

I keep those Fiends and my Chicken, they sometimes change tides.

And also I watch bots playing, they thought me so good strategies too.
