THIS COW AIN'T JUMPING OVER THE MOON

As I was driving home from work last night I remembered that it was a full moon so I figured I'd try and get a photo of the moon rising over the mountains. I didn't feel like going very far from home and I remembered a local wetland reserve about 10 minutes from my house that had these cool structures.

I got home, grabbed my gear and my daughter, went to Wendy's for a quick dinner and headed out to the preserve. We ate our dinner in the car then went out to the boardwalks to scope out the shot. I used an app called Planit to locate exactly where and when the moon would rise over the mountains.

My daughter got bored after 3 seconds and we had about 20 minutes until the moonrise so we ran to the one of the lookout towers, then came back to scouted spot just in time to get the moon rising over the mountains.
Once again, my daughter got bored and cold so she headed back to the car while I took some photos.
