Duster - one car, different brands [EN]/[PL]
**In the world of automobiles, it has not been since today that different brands have merged, and from time to time (and now more and more often) there are models that differ only in stamp. **
One factory - wide cooperation
The long-known cooperation in the commercial vehicle sector and emerging under one model - Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat, and now even joined by Opel, Toyota, Nissan - one car, as many as six brands.
One car - different brands in countries side by side
There are other examples of the same cars with different brands on the hood. This was the case, for example, with the Korean brand Daewoo, which was disguised as Chevrolet in some markets.
Three continents, three characters and one brand.
With Chevrolet in general, the situation is quite convoluted, because, after all, we associate it with American highway cruisers, and here it turns out that in South America, for example, this brand is called cars known in Europe as Opel.
In the West - cheap, in the East - exclusive.
And it is in this kind of mix that today's protagonist - the Duster - is also in the mix. A car known (at least in central and western Europe) under the Dacia brand. However, it's a bit different in the East. In Russia and Ukraine, and perhaps in other countries there, Dacia cars are sold under the Renault banner (all in all, this is not far from the truth, because in fact many Dacia models, are hidden older models, or cheaper platforms just from Renault). In some articles it's even called Dacia's richer cousin.
Now, thanks to more immigrants coming from Ukraine, we have the opportunity to see such curiosities on our roads.
Interestingly, the spotted unit seems to have had a breakage and parts from a European Duster (Dacia) were reinforced - I wonder if still in Ukraine or already here in Poland.
Even more interestingly, in 2020 it was the most purchased car in Ukraine.

Jedna fabryka - szeroka współpraca
Znana od dawna współpraca w sektorze aut dostawczych i powstające pod jednym szyldem Peugeot, Citroen i Fiat, a teraz jeszcze dołączyły do nich Opel, Toyota, Nissan - jedno auto, aż sześć marek.
Jedno auto - różne marki w krajach obok siebie
Są jeszcze inne przykłady tych samych samochodów z różnymi markami na masce. Tak było na przykład w przypadku koreańskiej marki Daewoo, która na części rynków była ukryta pod marką Chevrolet.
Trzy kontynenty, trzy charaktery, a jedna marka
Z Chevroletem w ogóle sytuacja jest dosyć zawiła, bo kojarzymy go przecież z amerykańskimi krążownikami szos, a tu się okazuje, że na przykład w Ameryce Południowej tą marką nazywane są samochody znane w Europie, jako Opel.
Na zachodzie tani, na wschodzie ekskluzywny
I to w tego rodzaju mixem jest też dzisiejszy bohater - Duster. Auto znane (przynajmniej w Europie środkowej i zachodniej) pod marką Dacia. Jednak nieco inaczej jest na wschodzie. W Rosji i na Ukrainie, a być może też w innych tamtejszych krajach samochody Dacii są sprzedawane pod szyldem Renault (w sumie dalekie od prawdy to nie jest, bo w rzeczywistości wiele modeli Dacii, to ukryte starsze modele, albo tańsze platformy właśnie od Renault). W niektórych artykułach nazywany nawet bogatszym kuzynem Dacii.
Teraz dzięki większej ilości imigrantów przybyłych z Ukrainy mamy okazję oglądać takie oto ciekawostki na naszych drogach.
Co ciekawe spostrzeżony egzemplarz miał chyba stłuczkę i posiłkowano się częściami z europejskiego Dustera (Dacii) - ciekawe, czy jeszcze na Ukrainie, czy już u nas w Polsce.
Co jeszcze ciekawsze, w 2020 roku był to najchętniej kupowany samochód na Ukrainie.
