Les quiero compartir un sentir muy particular que tengo por las plantas, que desde recuerdo siempre han estado en mi vida. A mi madre, que siempre le han gustado y recuerdo que eran muchas, tanto de ornamento como medicinales y frutales. Como la casa donde vivíamos de niña tenía un patio grande había matas de mango, mamón, tamarindo, lechosas, aguacate y muchas plantas ornamentales de las cuales mis preferidas eran las rosas.

I want to share with you a very particular feeling that I have for plants, which from memory have always been in my life. To my mother, who has always liked them and I remember that they were many, both ornamental and medicinal and fruit trees. As the house where we lived as a child had a large patio, there were mango, papaya, tamarind, milky, avocado and many ornamental plants, of which my favorites were roses.

Después nos mudamos a una casa más pequeña y podían faltar otras cosas, pero las matas de mi madre nunca. Ella se encargaba de sus plantas y cada vez que salía llegaba con una que le habían regalado o la encontraba en el camino. Y la pequeña casa parecía una selva.

Then we moved to a smaller house and other things might be missing, but my mother's plants were never. She took care of her plants and every time she went out she would come with one that had been given to her or she would find it on the way. And the little house looked like a jungle.

Antes no me daba cuenta o apreciaba todas las cosas maravillosas que nos regala las plantas. Ahora, aunque no en las cantidades que tenía mi madre, porque tengo muy pocas, pero las amo y me hacen feliz cuando a una de ella le salen una ramita nueva, hojitas nuevas y con su bello color verde. Son una de las creaciones mas hermosas que nos regala nuestra madre naturaleza, necesarias para renovar el aire y además atraen energía positiva

Before I did not realize or appreciate all the wonderful things that plants give us. Now, although not in the quantities that my mother had, because I have very few, but I love them and they make me happy when one of her grows a new twig, new leaves and with their beautiful green color. They are one of the most beautiful creations that our mother nature gives us, necessary to renew the air and also attract positive energy

Y sobre todo en estos tiempos que estamos viviendo con la pandemia, le he dedicado más tiempo a mis plantas. Y al levantarme cada mañana lo primero que hago es ver como amanecieron…Y si soy de esas personas que hablan con las plantas.

And especially in these times that we are living with the pandemic, I have dedicated more time to my plants. And when I get up every morning the first thing I do is see how they woke up… And if I'm one of those people who talk to plants.

Cuando estoy con ellas, siento una paz, una sensación de armonía y de alivio. Me hacen muy feliz y aunque no tengo un rosal como el que tenía mi madre, tengo a mis suculentas, que me encantan.

When I am with them, I feel a peace, a sense of harmony and relief. They make me very happy and although I don't have a rose bush like the one my mother had, I have my succulents, which I love.
