Happy weekend with laughter, hugs and mangoes 😅

An "incredible" weekend, this is the word that can describe these three days that I spent with my family and friends. Since Friday began what we in Venezuela call a long weekend, since my country celebrates or commemorates "the Battle of Carabobo" a patriotic date that marked the beginning of our independence 201 years ago. Because it is a special date, workers are given off and I take the opportunity to spend some time with my husband, to pamper him for a while. For days now my husband has been feeling a little tired, I think this year has been hard for him in the company where he works, so I suggested that he stay home and take the opportunity to sleep, as they say that sleep is restorative. In the afternoon we enjoyed a good series "The crow", we liked so much to learn about the history behind Queen Elizabeth II, we were hooked.

Saturday we got up very early as we had an appointment to have our cat "Mara" spayed. We had wanted to do this process for a long time but between one thing and another we had not been able to. Here in Venezuela there are many institutions that provide the service at low prices, we just have to wait for an operation near our place of residence.

Mara is a very obedient cat, tidy, calm, but she has a small detail, as soon as she sees that we open the door she is the first one who wants to go out. She runs so fast that we often have to spend a long time looking for her. It was also for this reason that we thought she was pregnant, because some time ago while she was in heat she ran away for a few hours and we assumed she was pregnant. The only thing I decided to do was to calm down and wait for the time for her to have her kittens.

Many people told me to take her like that, that they would get her kittens, but I didn't have that heart. I preferred to wait and now thank God she is spayed. Another time I will tell you more about this little adventure for all those who want to know more about how I did and how her postoperative period went.

This Saturday after Mara's surgery we went to welcome our niece Andreina, who had arrived from Chile and we had not seen her for 3 years. Andreina is a being of light, she is one of those wonderful people that come into your life and generate happiness. At home we all love her very much; besides, she is the godmother of my son Fabian and it was one more reason to go to see her.

We were all very happy, so we took her a bouquet of red roses to show her how much we love her.

We spent the afternoon there, not only welcoming her but also celebrating her birthday. The sharing was filled with laughter, toasts, funny stories, a delicious meal and more. I am sure that soon we will be sharing again to enjoy her to the fullest.

Sunday we had two invitations, but I also wanted my husband to continue resting, so I left him alone to stay in bed while I made lunch and a chocolate cake to take to my friends in the afternoon.
When the clock struck one we went to the countryside to visit our friend Maikel and his mother Isabel, who are now living in the plot, where we spend a nice, quiet time, surrounded by nature and nothing else. There are many fruit trees there, especially mango and avocado.

But we had to go because they were waiting for us at my friend Hector's house with a delicious beef soup. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a big cup of soup, which was finger-licking good. Between laughter, a game of dominoes and a drink we spent Sunday afternoon, relaxing with no other hurry than to enjoy a good conversation with good friends.

Last night as I fell asleep I could only thank God for everything that happened this weekend, things to keep order, have peace and feel happiness. Friends are very important, don't wait for something bad to happen to remember them, enjoy them in life, write them, call them, that's the only good thing about telecommunications.
