Enjoying beautiful places that I discovered through HIVE./ Disfrutando de lugares hermosos que descubrí a través de HIVE.|| Paseo "Los Proceres" Caracas- Venezuela.

A pleasant Sunday was spent with the family at the "Los Proceres" promenade, located very close to the Military Academy of Venezuela, near Fort Tiuna in Caracas, Venezuela. After so many years of living and passing by this place and even attending public events and military parades, I was finally able to take a day to go without haste and without anything else on my mind other than recreation, rest and enjoy a day for healthy recreation with my family.

Un domingo agradable fue el que pasamos en familia en el paseo “Los Próceres, ubicado muy cerca de la Academia Militar de Venezuela, cerca del Fuerte Tiuna en Caracas, Venezuela. Después de tantos años de vivir y pasar por este lugar e incluso asistir a los actos públicos y desfiles militares por fin pude tomarme un día para ir sin prisa y sin otra cosa en la cabeza que no fuera recrearme, descansar y disfrutar de un día para el sano esparcimiento en unión de mi familia.

Before I continue, I would like to thank my friend @Coquicoin, who unwittingly became the main author of this beautiful trip. It was thanks to a publication that she made some time ago in the Wednesday community that I got all the information about it; that day I observed beauty through her images, peace, harmony; that publication was a clear invitation for me and I immediately put together the family plan so that we could all go as a family.

Antes de continuar quisiera agradecerle a mi amiga @Coquicoin, quien sin querer queriendo se convirtió en la autora principal de este lindo paseo. Fue gracias a una publicación que ella realizara un tiempo en la comunidad de los miércoles que conseguí toda la información al respecto; ese día observe belleza a través de sus imágenes, paz, armonía; esa publicación fue una clara invitación para mí y de inmediato armé el plan familiar para que todos pudiésemos ir en familia.

The Paseo Los Proceres was built in the times of President Marcos Perez Gimenez, back in the 60s. From what I could investigate among the staff that takes care of this place you tell me that the architect who designed such a majestic work was based on the neoclassicism movement that emerged in Caracas at that time, and his main idea was to emulate the main details of the Champs Elysees in Paris.

Neoclassicism is presented as a new, serene and balanced art in the face of the exhaustion of Rococo forms, with its empty and reiterative language. Its postulates are purity, accuracy, luminosity, accuracy, balance and fidelity to the arts of the past, that is to say, to Classicism.(wikipedia)

El paseo los próceres fue construido en los tiempos del Presidente Marcos Pérez Giménez, por allá por los años 60. Por lo que pude investigar entre el personal que cuida este lugar me cuentas que el arquitecto que diseñó tan majestuosa obra se basó en el movimiento neoclasicismo que surgía en Caracas por aquella época, y su principal idea era emular los detalles principales de los Campos Elíseos de París.

El neoclasicismo se presenta como un arte nuevo, sereno y equilibrado ante el agotamiento de las formas del Rococó, con su lenguaje vacío y reiterativo. Sus postulados son pureza, exactitud, luminosidad, exactitud, equilibrio y fidelidad a las artes del pasado, es decir, al Clasicismo. (wikipedia)

The first thing we did was to go to the park "El Laguito" which is located next to the Marble Monoliths in the Paseo Los Proceres; being there my eyes were opened, I do not know how I could miss so much time to see this beautiful place. I immediately started walking and taking pictures; my niece Emily was my model throughout the walk, I think she loves taking pictures and I love taking pictures of her. We had a great time together and that's what this kind of activity is all about, enjoying and bonding as a family.

Llegamos como a las 2 de la tarde, Lo primero que hicimos fue dirigirnos hacia el parque “El Laguito” que se encuentra a un costado de los Monolitos de Mármol en el Paseo Los Próceres; estando allí mis ojos se abrieron, no sé cómo pude perderme tanto tiempo de ver este lugar tan hermoso. De inmediato comencé a caminar y tomar fotos; mi sobrina Emily fue mi modelo en todo el paseo, creo que a ella le encanta tomarse fotos y a mí me encanta tomárselas. Juntas la pasamos muy bien y de eso se trata este tipo de actividades, de disfrutar y de unirnos como familia.

From the moment you enter you feel like you are in a nice and safe place; I liked to see that there is a big parking lot, playground, soda fountain, sports courts, swimming pool, kiosks to organize parties or events and many other things.

I also found out that this park has been open to the public for a few years, since it used to be exclusively for military use.

Desde que entras te sientes en un lugar bonito y seguro; me gustó ver que hay estacionamiento grande, parque infantil, fuente de soda, canchas deportivas, piscina, kioscos para organizar fiestas o eventos y muchas cosas más.

También me enteré que este parque está abierto al público hace pocos años, ya que antiguamente era de uso exclusivo de los militares.

In the place there were many people, children playing in the playground, couples enjoying their love, families having picnics, men playing basketball. This is a very large park and is very well organized. The only thing I could say that is bad is one of the areas of the lake that is abandoned, but very close by they are doing repair work, I hope one thing leads to another and they don't let any space go to waste.

En el lugar había muchas personas, niños jugando en el parque infantil, parejas disfrutando de su amor, familias realizando Picnic, Hombres jugando Básquet. Este es un parque muy grande y está muy bien organizado. Lo único que podría decir que está mal es una de las áreas del lago que está abandonada, pero muy cerca están realizando trabajos de reparación, espero que una cosa lleve a la otra y no dejen perder ningún espacio.

We continued walking, my husband made me laugh a lot because he played the role of the boyfriend and wanted to play it very well; but for my niece I would have run away with him that day, (again). 😅

Seguimos caminando, mi esposo me hacia reír mucho porque se metió en el papel de novio y lo quería interpretar muy bien; sino es por mi sobrina me hubiese escapado con él ese día, (otra vez). LOL

My son Israel went with his girlfriend, but since she was at work that day she didn't want to take pictures, even so, feeling a little exhausted she didn't want to miss out on joining us and getting to know us a little better.

Mi hijo Israel fue con su novia, pero como ella había amanecido ese día en su trabajo no quiso tomarse fotos, aun así, sintiéndose un poco agotada no quiso dejar de acompañarnos y conocernos un poco más.

My favorite part of the walk were the geese, these guys are active everywhere, so if you ever go you better bring food and if you don't you better run because if you don't give them anything they will run out to bite you.

Mi parte preferida del paseo fueron los gansos, estos chicos si están activos por todos lados, así que si algún día vas es mejor que lleves comida y si no es mejor que corras porque si no les das nada te sacan corriendo para picarte.

As I told you here everything is separated by areas, in the middle of the curiosity that characterizes me I went to the pool area, there I asked about costs and schedules. In case you are interested I found out that they work from Wednesday to Sunday, from 8 am to 5 pm and the cost is $5 per person. I was also able to inquire about some large kiosks where two children's parties were being held at that time and they told me that the cost is $120 and $140, of course you must rent them in advance so you don't have to wait to celebrate in that place.

Como les dije aquí todo está separado por áreas, en medio de la curiosidad que me caracteriza me fui al área de la piscina, allí pregunté acerca de los costos y horarios. Por si les interesa saber me enteré que trabajan de miércoles a domingo, de 8 a 5 de la tarde y el costo es de 5$ por persona. También pude investigar sobre unos quioscos grandes donde se estaban realizando en ese momento dos fiestas infantiles y me dijeron que el costo es de 120$ y 140$, por supuesto debes alquilarlos con tiempo para no quedarte con las ganas de festejar en ese lugar.

Another thing I loved was a beautiful hill, full of trees and beautiful greenery. From there you can enjoy the view of the lake. When I got to the top I found some awnings of a design I had never seen before, they are shaped like a flying saucer with spider legs, I really loved them and they made me laugh too.

Otra cosa que me encantó fue una colina hermosa, llena de árboles y hermoso verdor. Desde allí puedes disfrutar la vista del lago. Al llegar arriba encontré unos toldos de un diseño que jamás había visto, tienen forma de platillo volador con patas de araña, Me encantaron de verdad y me hicieron reír también.

At 4 o'clock in the afternoon the security personnel was removing us from the facilities since that day there was going to be an act with the president of Venezuela and for security measures they do not allow civilians near. As I told you before, this is a purely military zone.

A las 4 de la tarde el personal de seguridad nos estaba retirando de las instalaciones ya que ese día se iba a realizar un acto con el presidente de Venezuela y por medidas de seguridad no permiten civiles cerca. Como les dije antes esta es una zona netamente militar.

My niece did not stop taking pictures, she wanted to be in all of them and how could I not take pictures of her if for me she is beautiful and embellishes my images (Aunt in love mode).

Mi sobrina no dejaba de tomarse fotos, en todas quería salir y como no tomarle fotos si para mi ella es hermosa y embellece mis imágenes. (Modo “tía enamorada”)

On the way out I was able to take some pictures in the marble monoliths, this monument pays tribute to the national and foreign heroes who gave their lives for the independence struggles of Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela.

Al salir pude tomar algunas fotos en los monolitos de mármol, este monumento rinde homenaje a los próceres nacionales y extranjeros que dieron su vida por las luchas independentistas de Colombia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Perú y Venezuela.

I left there happy, proud to have such beautiful places in my city, grateful to God and to life for all those people who in the 60's did not waste the desire, time and intellect to create such wonderful works like this one.

De allí me fui feliz, orgullosa de tener estos sitios tan bonitos en mi ciudad, agradecida con Dios y con la vida por todas aquellas personas que en los años 60 no desperdiciaron las ganas, el tiempo y el intelecto para crear obras tan maravillosas como esta.

While I was there I was able to practice my English with some tourists from Scotland, which I enjoyed very much, it reminded me of my time as a tourist police officer, an activity I did here in Caracas for 17 years before retiring.

This little experience was like a déja vu, it was like remembering my days working in something that I liked very much, that I was passionate about and to see myself now retired, with my children already men, walking hand in hand with my husband, laughing and breathing peace is something I dreamed all my life. I know that many of us wish for it but others are afraid of it.

Estando allí pude practicar mi ingles con unos turistas provenientes de Escocia, eso me gustó muchísimo, me hizo recordar mis tiempos como policía turístico, actividad que realicé aquí en Caracas por 17 años antes de jubilarme.

Esta pequeña experiencia fue como un déja vu, fue recordar mis días trabajando en algo que me gustaba mucho, que me apasionaba y verme ahora jubilada, con mis hijos ya hombres, caminando de la mano de mi esposo, riendo y respirando paz es algo que soñé toda la vida. Sé que muchos la deseamos pero otros le tienen miedo.

To be retired is not necessarily to stay at home and to be pending to go to the bank, pay the bills or take care of grandchildren, if we ourselves value our time and our life we can teach those who live with us that our life did not end the day we retired, that now is when it starts, that we want to do things and eat the world for all those years we had locked up depending on a schedule.

I would like to continue talking about this topic in another opportunity and tell you about a conversation that came up with my former coworkers after this walk.

Estar jubilado no necesariamente es quedarse en casa y estar pendiente de ir al banco, pagar las cuentas o cuidar nietos, si nosotros mismos valoramos nuestro tiempo y nuestra vida podemos enseñar a los que viven con nosotros que nuestra vida no se terminó el día que salimos jubilados, que ahora es que inicia, que queremos hacer cosas y comernos el mundo por todos esos años que tuvimos encerrados dependiendo de un horario.

De este tema me gustaría seguir hablándoles en otra oportunidad y contarles de una conversación que salió a flote con mis excompañeros de trabajo después de este paseo.
