Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m stopping by to share with you a new chapter in my life. Another month has come and gone, and with it, the kids’ final month of school. It feels like just yesterday that I started with them. We barely knew each other, but you could tell it was going to be a great year. Nowadays, it’s hard for me to imagine life without my kids; I love them so much, and they’re a group of students who have made tremendous progress this school year. So I hope to enjoy these last few days of school with them and that they’ll then (finally) get their well-deserved vacation.
This week we have the Expo Fair, so I’m pretty excited about what’s coming up. I hope to be able to help the kids with this event, where they’ll have the chance to display, explain, and sell their work. We had classes today, but we didn’t expect the weather to turn out so bad—out of nowhere, a heavy rain started falling that left more than a few of us stuck at home. It happened to me, literally—the door to the building where I live is electric, and the power had gone out. Fortunately, a neighbor was able to help us, so I ran (almost swimming) to school. Luckily, a representative saw me and gave me a ride there.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión, otro mes ha llegado y con ello, el último mes de clases de los muchachos. Parece que fue ayer cuando comencé con ellos. Apenas nos conocíamos, pero se notaba que sería un gran año. Hoy en día se me hace difícil verme sin mis muchachitos, los quiero muchísimo y son un grupo de estudiantes que han avanzado grandemente en este año escolar. Así que espero poder disfrutar con ellos estos últimos días de clases y que luego tengan (por fin) sus merecidas vacaciones.
Esta semana tenemos la Expo Feria, así que estoy bastante entusiasmada con lo que se viene. Deseo poder poder ayudar a los muchachos con este evento, dónde ellos tendrán la oportunidad de exhibir, explicar y vender su trabajo. Hoy teníamos clases, pero no contábamos con que llegara tan mal clima pues de la nada comenzó a caer una fuerte lluvia que dejó a más de uno encerrado en casa. Me pasó, incluso literalmente pues la puerta del edificio donde vivo es electrica y se nos había ido la electricidad. Afortunadamente una vecina pudo ayudarnos y así salí corriendo (casi nadando), al colegio. Por suerte que una representante me vió y me dió la cola hasta allí.
When I arrived, there were only three of my students there, and I was happy to see them, though at the same time I was worried that they had gotten wet. There have been a lot of viruses going around, and it’s not good for them to be getting sick so often. The kids worked really hard; you can see that in the photos. Then three more students arrived, and we worked as much as we could. We’ve been organizing the projects, averaging out the costs, and receiving all the materials. So soon we’ll have everything set up and we’ll be able to have that long-awaited day. Aside from that, today was a really nice day because I got to talk with them, hear their stories, and even enjoy the rain. Very happy. Without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.
Cuando llegue solo habían tres de mis estudiantes y yo fui feliz de verlas aunque al mismo tiempo me preocupo que se fueron mojado. Han habido muchos virus y no es bueno que ellos se esten enfermando tan frecuentemente. Los niños trabajaron arduamente, pueden verlo en las fotografías. Luego llegaron tres estudiantes más y trabajamos cuanto pudimos. Hemos estado organizando las obras, promediando los precios, recibiendo todo los materiales. Así que ya pronto tendremos el montaje y podremos tener ese día tan esperado. Aparte de ello, hoy fue un día muy bonito porque pude conversar con ellos, oir sus historias y hasta disfrutar de la lluvia. Muy feliz. Sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
