Día Internacional del Arte 🎨🖌️: recordando la naturaleza de las técnica pictóricas [ENG/ESP]
Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m joining you here to share another day in the classroom. This time, I want to show you how our day went, as we focused on painting. It’s been really important to see the children’s progress. I’ve noticed they’re much more confident when they start painting now, compared to when we first began classes. Above all, I also see the group as more united, even though each child works individually. I think it will be beneficial later on to work on a project where everyone can collaborate.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en el aula de clases. En esta oportunidad les quiero mostrar cómo fue nuestro día, dónde nos dedicamos a trabajar con la pintura. Ha sido muy importante poder ver los avances de los niños. Los he visto mucho más seguros a la hora de comenzar a pintar, en comparación a cuando comenzaron dónde apenas iniciamos las clases. Y sobre todo, también veo el grupo más unido a pesar de que cada uno trabaja individualmente. Creo que más adelante será favorable trabajar en un proyecto donde todos puedan hacerlo juntos.
This week, they were tasked with reproducing an image. We started with graphite (drawing), and then they had to do the same exercise but with color (colored pencils, watercolors, acrylics, etc.). It was interesting to see how some students have a natural inclination toward working with graphite or with color. I think they’ve started to choose which technique they want to stick with. That’s very valuable because it’s good to know yourself, to understand what you’re best at and what you like as artists. That’s where passion comes from. We also reviewed the information where I explained the nature of painting materials: acrylics, oils, and watercolors.
It’s vital that they understand this because, basically, when we talk about painting, we’re talking about color, and to understand color, any medium is fine, but it will always be important to understand the physics of these materials to achieve better results. And also to make our lives easier. For example, if you’re working with oil paint, you naturally can’t clean your brush with just water because of the incompatibility between water and oil. Para esta semana ellos debían trabajar con la reproducción de una imagen. Allí trabajamos grafito (dibujo) y ellos luego debían hacer el mismo ejercicio pero con color (lápices de colores, acuarela, acrílicos, etc.). Aquí fue interesante ver cómo algunos tienen una predisposición para trabajar con el grafito o con el color. Creo que han comenzado a elegir en que técnica se quieren quedar. Eso es muy valioso pues es bueno conocerse, entender en qué resulta uno más habil y que nos gusta cómo artistas. De ahí se genera la pasión. También vimos un repaso de esa información dónde explique la naturaleza de los materiales pictóricos: acrílicos, óleos y acuarelas.
Esto es vital que lo entiendan pues básicamente cuando hablamos de pintura hablamos de color y para entender el color, cualquier medio es bueno, pero siempre será importante entender la física de estos para obtener mejores resultados. Y también facilitarnos la vida. Por ejemplo, si se trabaja con óleo, naturalmente no podemos limpiar el pincel solo con agua por razones de incompatibilidad de agua/aceite. It’s lovely that at that age they’re already learning about the different art materials, such as paints and ways of drawing, as well as how these elements relate to one another. As you mention, each child will eventually discover their own talents and preferences when it comes to these artistic media. I really like the graphite still life; it shows great talent.
Art in children awakens a unique creativity and also a form of self-expression that can help them in life. They look very enthusiastic and focused on the task, a sign that the teacher is doing a great job with them. Great team!! Thank you very much and a big hug!🤗

Saludos 🤗 sí, yo considero que es una edad ideal pues desde el principio empiezan con el pie derecho en lo que respecta a las artes. A mí me habría gustado tener un poco de esta información cuando yo dibujaba o pintaba de pequeña, pues yo pensaba que las dos o tres cosas que me decían sobre artes lo eran todo (por ejemplo, los tres colores primarios y ahí murió el asunto). Por eso no subestimo la capacidad de los niños, más bien al contrario, quiero que vayan más allá de lo evidente. Y gracias por tus palabras, ellos son chicos maravillosos. Un abrazo.
Pienso exactamente lo mismo, yo aprendí dibujo y pintura en forma particular, por lo que sabía mucho más que mis compañeras en el colegio, y veía que hacía falta más información. Gracias a vos!
Tienes a un grupo talentoso de estudiantes, pintar y dibujar son actividades excelentes para relajarse y comunicar un mensaje. Las habilidades se afianzan con la práctica, sigue trabajando.
