A beautiful day 💜 with music, tomatoes, and a blue sky [ENG/ESP]

Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community! Today I'm joining you to share another day in my life. This time, I want to tell you about my Tuesday, which was a holiday here in Venezuela due to Carnival. I usually think these days would be quite hectic, with parties everywhere (especially since I'm in Ciudad Guayana), but to my surprise, everything was quite peaceful. It felt like January 1st, with the weather being absolutely lovely, very sunny, with a beautiful blue sky and quite cool. I couldn't miss out on it. Today I had an important appointment: I went to the auditions to join the "Canticum Meru" women's choir, which is directed by the musician and teacher, Irma Conchita Iorio Blanco. Here's a little more about it.

Yesterday I was scrolling through Instagram and came across the information that they were looking for several singers for the choir. I was honestly afraid to audition because the choir members seemed to be quite professional (which is what they were looking for), and I haven't been in a choir for years and I'm more of an amateur singer, so I was thinking about that before deciding to write. But after a while, I decided to request an audition. They're holding auditions all this month of February, so I was lucky and my appointment was today, Tuesday. A great thing about this is that the music academy is quite close to my house and the school where I work, so I found it really curious that both are so near my home. I'm a bit superstitious from time to time, and seeing that coincidence made me a little hopeful, because I feel like several things I like and that can make my life better are placed in my path for me to take advantage of.

¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta oportunidad les quiero contar cómo fue mi martes, aquí en Venezuela siendo día feriado por ser días de carnaval. Usualmente pensaría que estos días estarían bastante movidos o con fiestas por doquier (sobre todo porque estoy en Ciudad Guayana), pero para mí sorpresa, todo estuvo bastante tranquilo. Parecía un día 1 de enero, con todo y que el clima estaba súper agradable, muy soleado, con un azul muy bello en el cielo y bastante fresco. No podía perderme de ello. Hoy tenía una cita importante, pues fui a las audiciones para entrar al coro femenino "Canticum Meru" el cual es dirigido por la músico y profesora, Irma Conchita Iorio Blanco. Aquí les cuento un poco más al respecto.

Ayer estaba viendo Instagram y en uno de esos momentos encontré la información de que estaba buscando varias voces en el coro. La verdad tenía miedo de audicionar pues el perfil de las coristas parecía ser bastante profesional (lo que buscaban) y yo tengo años que no he estado en un coro y soy más bien una cantante por afición, así que pensaba en ello antes de decidir escribir. Pero luego de un rato, decidí pedir una cita para la audición. Todo este mes de febrero están en ello, así que corrí con suerte y hoy mismo martes fue mi cita. Una gran bondad de esto, es que la academia de música queda bastante cerca de mi casa y del colegio dónde trabajo, así que me pareció súper curioso que ambas cosas estén tan cerca de mi casa. Yo soy algo supersticiosa de vez en cuando y ver esa coincidencia me hizo ilusionarme un poco, pues siento que varias cosas que me gustan y pueden hacer de mi vida mejor, están puestas en mi camino para que yo las puedo aprovechar.

I arrived early at the house and the teacher was there, who greeted me very kindly. She's very beautiful, with a warm and gentle voice, and she showed me to the room where she was preparing the audition. The interview was brief, and we did the evaluation with the piano. She started playing chords, and I followed along. I must admit I was a little blocked, even embarrassed that my voice wouldn't come out, but she was very patient and helped me overcome my fear. I'm not a professional, but I was surprised that I couldn't be more precise or that I lost my voice in the middle of the interview. To my surprise, the teacher accepted me into the choir and told me that with time I would regain that flexibility that comes with making singing a way of life. I'm very grateful because singing is truly something I love, and I know I can contribute a lot to the group since she seems like an excellent person and professional.

After that, with that wonderful energy I left there, I went to buy some vegetables, which, coincidentally, were open at a street market. I say this with surprise because it was Carnival day and it seemed strange to see them there... I'm back to my superstition, haha, maybe life also put those tomatoes in my path. Afterwards, I went to buy a little something for one of my classmates, to whom I owed a small gift because of a mix-up during the gift exchange. I hope she likes it. Today was a beautiful day; I feel happy. So, without further ado, thank you so much for stopping by.

Llegué tempranito a la casa y allí estaba la profesora, quién me recibió muy amablemente. Ella muy bella, con una voz muy calida y gentil, me indicó pasar a la habitación donde estaba preparando la audición. La entrevista la realizó brevemente y la evaluación la hicimos con el piano, ella comenzó a hacer acordes y yo fui siguiendola a ella. Debo reconocer que estaba un poco bloqueada, que hasta pena tenía de que la voz no me saliera, pero ella tuvo mucha paciencia y me ayudó a no temer. No soy una profesional, pero me asombró que no pudiera ser tan precisa o me qiedara sin voz en plena entrevista. Para mí sorpresa, la profesora me aceptó en el coro y me dijo que con el tiempo yo lograría nuevamente esa plasticidad que uno tiene cuando se hace del canto una forma de vida. Estoy muy agradecida, pues cantar es realmente algo que yo amo y se que podré hacer mucho en el grupo pues ella se nota una excelente persona y profesional.

Luego de eso, con esa energía tan bonita con la que salí de allí, me fui a comprar unas verduras que, nuevamente, casualmente estaban abiertos un mercado ambulante. Lo digo con sorpresa pues era día de carnaval y me pareció raro verlos allí... Vuelvo con lo de la superstición jajaja será que la vida también me puso esos tomates en el camino. Luego fui a comprar un detalle para una de mis niñas del salón de clases, a quién le debía un pequeño regalo por una confusión durante los intercambios de regalos. Espero que le guste. Hoy fue un día muy bello, me siento feliz. Así que sin más que decir, muchísimas gracias por pasar por aquí.
