Dear friends for this opportunity I want to share with you how we can restore a broken flash drive casing, since these days one of my portable memories suffered an accident destroying the entire casing leaving its components exposed to the elements.
I asked myself how I could fix it and poof! I saw a wine cork on my shelf, and it turned out as shown below, super cool and compact, in addition to providing comfort, it is customizable to taste, here I show you how we can form the reliefs with a soldering iron of the design that we want.
I hope you like my idea as well as my post and find it very useful.
For this occasion you only need a cork, a drill with a wooden wick wide enough to create the opening where the memory card of the flash drive will be embedded, optional; a soldering iron to make the designs in relief.
We start with the step by step:
Materials:
• 1 Cork; we make sure our exposed memory card is covered by it.
Tools:
• Knife with saw; It will help us to clean inside the cork, where the pendrive memory card will be inserted.
• Drill with bit to drill wood; with this we will make the perforation in the center of the cork to insert the pendrive without a casing.
• Soldering iron; We can make reliefs in this material without problems, making the designs that we most like.
• Lastly and optionally, we can add a key ring or chain for more versatility when it comes to having our flash drive at hand.

¿Hola querida comunidad como se encuentran hoy?, espero les estén pasando bien y sobretodo con buena salud.
Queridos amigos para esta oportunidad les quiero compartir como podemos restaurar una carcasa de pendrive roto, ya que en estos días unos de mis memorias portátiles, sufrió un accidente destruyéndose toda la carcasa quedando expuesto sus componentes a la intemperie.
Me pregunte como podría solucionarlo y puum! Vi un corcho de vino sobre mi repisa, y resulto como lo muestro a continuación, súper genial y compacto, además de que te brinda comodidad es personalizable al gusto, acá les muestro como podemos formar los relieves con un cautín del diseño que queramos.
Espero mi idea les guste igual que mi post y les sea de mucha utilidad.
Para esta ocasión solo necesite de un corcho, un taladro con una mecha de madera con el ancho suficiente para crear la apertura donde ira encajado la tarjeta de memoria del pendrive, opcional; un cautín para realizar los diseños en relieve.
Comenzamos con el paso a paso:
Materiales:
• 1 Corcho; nos aseguramos que nuestra tarjeta de memoria expuesta sea cubierta por el mismo.
Herramientas:
• Navaja con sierra; nos servirá para limpiar dentro del corcho, lugar donde ira insertado la tarjeta de memoria del pendrive.
• Taladro con mecha de perforar madera; con esto haremos la perforación en el centro del corcho para insertar el pendrive sin carcasa.
• Cautín; podemos realizar relieves en este material sin problemas realizando los diseños que más nos parezca.
• Por último y opcional podemos agregarle una argolla de llavero o cadena para más versatilidad a la hora de tener a mano nuestro pendrive.

• Checked that it works perfectly, and after this we look for a cork, and measure the length of the card with the cork both in length and width to proceed to mark with a pencil what we will perforate.

Paso 1
• Primero nos aseguramos que si tienen un accidente como el mío donde la carcasa de plástico la aplastó una bota y la destruyo, retiramos las partes de plásticos y procedemos a probar la tarjeta de memoria para ver si sufrió algún daño.
• Comprobado que funciona a la perfección, y seguido a esto buscamos un corcho, y medimos la longitud de la tarjeta con el corcho tanto de largo como de ancho para proceder a marcar con un lápiz lo que perforaremos.

Step 2
• With a press we can help ourselves to perforate the center of the cork with a drill to the depth measured by the card to be inserted.
• With a multifunction tool, we use the saw to extract and clean the residue from the cork, clearing the cavity where the memory card will be inserted.

Paso 2
• Con una prensa nos podemos ayudar para perforar con un taladro el centro del corco a la profundidad que mida la tarjeta a ser insertada.
• Con una herramienta multifunción, utilizamos la sierra para extraer y limpiar los residuos del corcho, despejando la cavidad donde será introducido la tarjeta de memoria.

Step 3
• Take advantage of doing maintenance to the USB port since it was rusty, sand it with a rotary stone from a dremel to leave it free of rust and give it a better appearance.
• I decided to create a design for it, the soldering iron is excellent for creating cork reliefs and the most important thing is that it does not get dirty or burns when the hot tip and the cork rubber come into contact.

Paso 3
• Aproveche de hacerle mantenimiento al puerto USB ya que estaba oxidado, lo lije con una piedra rotativa de un dremel para dejarlo libre de óxido y darle un mejor aspecto.
• Decidí crearle un diseño, el cautín es excelente para crearles relieves al corcho y lo mas importante es que no se ensucia ni se quema a la hora del contacto de la punta caliente y la goma del corcho.
