How is my lovely Hive community doing? As some of you know, it’s been six years since I decided to change my life and move to Uruguay, a peaceful, natural, and beautiful country.
Since then, I hadn’t had the chance to reconnect with my mom, but that became possible last Christmas, and she stayed for a three-month vacation.
Among so many adventures, I think her favorite was attending the Chayanne concert—he’s been one of her all-time favorite artists, and as many of us in Latin America say, he’s like a second father to us.
¿Como se encuentra mi linda comunidad de Hive? como algunos saben ya tengo 6 años que decidi cambiar mi vida y mudarme a Uruguay, un pais tranquilo, natural y hermoso.
Desde entonces no habia tenido la oportunidad de reencontrarme con mi mamá, lo que se hizo posible la navidad pasada y ella se quedo de vacaciones 3 meses.
Entre tantas aventuras cro que su favorita fue poder asistit al concierto de chayanne, uno de sus artistas favoritos en toda la vida, y como muchos en latinoamerica decimos, nuestro segundo padre.
Expectations were sky-high. It wasn’t until the very last day that we bought the tickets on the secondary market. My mom was lucky enough that her trip coincided with Chayanne’s visit to Uruguay after so many years, and we weren’t about to let an opportunity this big slip by—not in a thousand lifetimes.
My mom was as excited as if she were going to see the love of her life. We arrived four hours early to get good seats, and even though Chayanne isn’t one of my favorite artists, I know all his songs—just like any good daughter of one of his fans.
La expectativa era muy alta, no fue hasta el ultimo dia, que compramos las entradas en re venta, mi mamá tuvo la suerte de que su viaje coincidiera con la visita de chayanne a Uruguay despues de muchos años, y una oportunidad tan grande como esta, ni en mil vidas la ibamos a desaprovechar.
Mi mamá estaba tan emocionada como si fuera a ver al amor de su vida, llegamos 4 horas antes para conseguir buenos asientos y aunque Chayanne no es unos de mis artistas favoritos, me se todas sus canciones como buena hija de una de sus fans.
The concert started around 10 p.m. I have to say, I’m amazed at how Chayanne, at 57, still has so much skill, flexibility, and vitality—it’s as if the years haven’t passed at all. The energy at the concert was wonderful; he sang all his songs, from the ones that were part of my childhood to his newest ones. Even though I didn’t know those new ones, I fell in love with his lyrics all over again.
At times, while he sang his songs, I remembered beautiful moments in my life: my fifteenth birthday with “Tiempo de Vals,” Sundays with the family listening to “Torero,” afternoons in the car on the way home listening to his most beautiful ballads.
A eso de las 10 de la noche comenzó el concierto, les puedo decir que me sorprende como Chayanne a sus 57 años tenga tanta habilidad, flexibilidad y vitalidad, pareciera que los años no hubieran pasado y la energia en el concierto es muy bonita, canto todas sus canciones desde las que me acompañaron en la niñez, hasta las mas nuevas, que aunque no las conocía, me volvi a enamorar de sus letras.
En ocasiones mientras cantaba sus canciones, recordaba momentos lindos en mi vida, mis quince años con tiempo de vals, domingos en familia escuchando torero, tardes en el auto de vuelta a casa escuchando sus mas bonitas baladas.
Even though I didn’t know all the lyrics, I can tell you that there wasn’t a single moment all night when I sat down—we spent the whole time dancing, singing, and enjoying the show.
Honestly, the best part of the whole concert was seeing my mom acting like a little girl—enjoying herself, getting excited, singing along to every last song, and dancing with all the joy in the world. There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing your parents happy.
A pesar de no conocer todas las letras les puedo decir que no hubo un momento en toda la noche que me sentara, pasamos todo el tiempo bailando, cantando y disfrutando del show.
Con sinceridad, lo mas bonito de todo el concierto, fue ver a mi mamá como una niña, disfrutando, emocionada, cantando hasta la ultima canció y bailando con toda la emoció del mundo, y es que, no hay cosa mas bonita que ver a tus padres felices.

My mom has been a Chayanne fan since the 1980s, but it wasn’t until 2025 that she was able to see him perform live for the first time.
We’re talking about at least 40 years of following an artist’s music, enjoying it at every stage of your life. Beyond admiration, many of our mothers feel a deep love for Chayanne. It was that whirlwind of emotions that I saw in my mom’s eyes at this concert—a moment that life gave me the chance to share with her.
Anyway, I love you, Mom.♥️
Mi mamá es fan de chayanne desde los años 80, pero fue recien en 2025 que pudo escucharlo por primera vez en vivo.
Estamos hablando que son por lo menos 40 años siguiendo la musica de un artista, disfrutando en cada etapa de tu vida con su musica, ademas de sentir admiracion, muchas de nuestras madres sienten un profundo amor hacia Chayanne, fue toda esa revolucion de emociones las que vi en los ojos de mi mamá en este concierto, que la vida me dio la oportunidad de compartir con ella.
En fin, te amo mamita.♥️
