The Japanese Garden was built by the Japanese community of Argentina in 1967 on the occasion of the visit of the crown prince Hakihito and his wife Michiko in May of the same year, since then it has been visited by multiple emperors and princes, it has become a tourist icon of the city as well as a meeting point for Japanese culture in the Argentine capital.

El Jardin Japones fue construido por la comunidad japonesa de Argentina en 1967 en motivo de la visita del principe heredero Hakihito y su esposa Michiko en mayo del mismo año, desde entonces ha sido visitado por múltiples emperadores y príncipes, se ha vuelto un icono turistico de la ciudad asi como tambien un punto de encuentro para la cultura japonesa en la capital Argentina.
I visited it on December 27, 2021, together with my dear cousin Rosbely, general admission cost 400 pesos, however people under 12 years of age, over 65 years of age or with disabilities can access it for free, the cost It seems relatively low, we are talking about less than $4, since thanks to the cost of the tickets, the Argentine-Japanese Cultural Foundation maintains this beautiful garden.
Yo lo visite el 27 de diciembre del 2021, junto a mi querida prima Rosbely, la entrada general tuvo un costo de 400 pesos, sin embargo las personas menores de 12 años, mayores de 65 años o con discapacidades pueden acceder gratuitamente, el costo me parece relativamente bajo, estamos hablando de menos de 4$, ya que gracias al costo de las entradas la Fundación cultural Argentino Japonesa mantiene este jardín tan hermoso.
We arrive before noon, and if you plan to visit it remember that they open every day of the year, including weekends and holidays from 10 in the morning until 6:45 in the afternoon.

We find it located in Buenos Aires, inside the Parque 3 de Febrero in Palermo. We enter through Av. Berro corner Av. Casares and upon arrival there is a small line to buy the ticket and sanitize your hands.
Nosotras llegamos antes de medio día, y si planeas visitarlo recuerda que abren todos los dias del año, incluyendo fines de semana y dias feriado desde las 10 de la mañana hasta las 6:45 de la tarde.
Lo encontramos ubicado en Buenos Aires, dentro del Parque 3 de Febrero de Palermo. Ingresamos por Av. Berro esquina Av. Casares y al llegar se hace una pequeña fila, para comprar el boleto y sanitizarse las manos.
Wherever you look you find a peaceful place, once you enter and start walking its paths, you wonder if all of Japan will be as peaceful as this place, you start to think how nice it is to be there even on such a hot day in which we went.

Right at the entrance on the left side we have some souvenir shops and there is a tradition of writing your New Year's wishes on a small cardboard that starts with an origami crane, then you have to hang it next to the others and ask with faith.
A donde quiera que mires encuentras un lugar apacible, una vez que entras y empiezas a caminar por sus senderos, te preguntas si todo Japón sera tan apacible como este lugar, empiezas a pensar lo agradable que es estar allí incluso en ese dia tan caluroso en el cual fuimos.
Justo en la entrada del lado izquierdo tenemos unas tiendas de souvenirs y existe una tradición de escribir tus deseos de año nuevo en una pequeña cartulina que inicia con una grulla de origami, luego hay colgarla junto a las demas y pedir con fé.
Koi fish are an authentic symbol of Japanese culture, since for centuries they have been dedicated to their breeding and reproduction, we can see them in tattoos, paintings, carpets and much more, although inside they represent friendship and love.

The Koi fish that we find in the Japanese Garden are absurdly large, they can be fed by tourists, since at the entrance of the museum they sell you appropriate food for them, small round croquettes for only 100 pesos.
Los peces Koi son un auténtico símbolo de la cultura Japonesa, ya que durante siglos se han dedicado a su cría y reproducción, podemos verlos en tatuajes, pinturas alfombras y mucho más, aunque en su interior representan la amistad y el amor.
Los peces Koi que encontramos en el Jardin Japones son absurdamente grandes, se pueden alimentar por los turistas, ya que en la entrada del museo te venden alimento apropiado para ellos, unas croquetas pequeñas y redondas a tan solo 100 pesos.
Almost at the end of the garden we have the "Argentine Japanese friendship monument" which is a museum that houses all kinds of references to Japanese culture.
We were able to appreciate typical costumes, cartoons, paintings, incredible pieces of origami, technology and much more, I sincerely recommend visiting.
Casi al final del jardin tenemos el "monumento amistad Argentina Japon" el cual es un museo que alberga todo tipo de referencias de la cultura japonesa.
Pudimos apreciar, trajes típicos, caricaturas, pinturas, piezas increíbles de origami, tecnología y mucho mas, sinceramente lo recomiendo visitar.
When we visited the garden they had a campaign called "a million origamis", where they invite people to learn the art of folding paper, in their culture paper is given great respect since to hold it in your hands a tree was sacrificed, in addition the art of making origami helps you improve memory, fine motor skills, patience and concentration.
Cuando visitamos el jardin tenian una campaña llamada "un millon de origamis", donde invitan a las personas a aprender el arte del plegado del papel, en su cultura el papel se le atribuye un gran respeto ya que para tenerlo en tus manos un arból fue sacrificado, además el arte de hacer el origami te ayuda a mejorar la memoria, la motrocidad fina, la paciencia y la concentración.
Wherever you see the landscape is vibrant and green, combined with the red color of the stairs and bridges, the waterfalls and stones, it makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale, in a wonderful place, if you have already visited tell me about your experience, I hope you on my next walk through Buenos Aires I can visit it again.
