I Am Alive Challenge 11.09.22 - Last warm days

Spontaneity is hard to learn, but for my wife and I, sudden decisions have long been commonplace and it is very easy for us to change our plans. For example, this Saturday we wanted to stay home, do some cleaning and then spend the evening in front of the TV watching the new Thor, but our friend, an educational and child psychology coach, called us and invited us to her cottage. To spend the last warm days in the fresh air.

We, of course, agreed, called our friends and within an hour we were ready :)

As usual, I was responsible for the kitchen and my wife's brother helped me a lot. He quickly pickled peppers with garlic and spices. While I decided to try something new and picked up 1.5 kilos of minced meat sausages with nutmeg and Italian herbs from the butcher's shop.

Since the company was large and many of the girls were on a diet, I made delicious sandwiches with turkey ham, light cottage cheese, and to enhance the flavor I pumped them with my favorite Japan BBQ sauce. The combination of sweet soy sauce and salty cheese is the bomb!

Since the last few days have been pretty chilly, I took a delicious herbal liqueur Bears with Siberian herbs and berries to go with the meat. Very tasty stuff, but the smell reminded me of the cough mixture my grandmother used to treat me with as a child.

At the same time, there was an excuse to use up some leftover seasonal RTHDX's Kurbiskopf sauce made from roasted pumpkin and exterminally hot Habanero Orange and Madame Janette peppers.

At sunset we had a short walk around the neighborhood, and when it got dark we warmed up a bit by the fire and went home satisfied with the day we had spent.

A rainy and busy work week ahead, so I hope that this charge of positive emotions will be enough to last till the next weekend :)
