Hello friends, another day of black and white photography posts. As I told you, summer is just beginning here. It supposedly starts in late December, but March is when the sun turns hellish. For those who don't know Lima or haven't read my posts, we have 99% humidity; that, combined with the heat, turns the city into a sauna. Houses here are made of brick and cement, it's rare to have air conditioning, and my fan sounds like a broken car engine.

The opportunities I have to take photos, outside of the project I'm putting together, are on the buses and in my community. Still, there are endless things I keep photographing. I really like street portraits; capturing such natural moments, plus the raw black and white, lets the image tell its story on its own. Sometimes I wish I had a portable printer to give photos away, although I always post more expressive photos here that people might not like to see.

Hola amigos, un día más de publicaciones fotográficas en blanco y negro. Como les comenté, el verano recién empieza por acá; supuestamente empieza a fines de diciembre, pero en marzo es cuando se enciende el sol de una manera infernal. Los que no conocen Lima o no han leído mis posts, tenemos un 99% de humedad; eso sumado al calor convierte la ciudad en un sauna. Acá las casas son de ladrillo y cemento, es extraño tener aire acondicionado y mi ventilador suena como motor de auto malogrado.

Las oportunidades que tengo de tomar fotografía, fuera del proyecto que estoy armando, son en los buses y por mi comunidad. Igual hay un sinfín de cosas que voy fotografiando. Los retratos callejeros me gustan mucho; capturas momentos tan naturales que, sumados al crudo del blanco y negro, dejan que la imagen cuente su historia sola. A veces me gustaría tener una impresora portátil y regalar fotos, aunque siempre por acá subo fotos más expresivas que tal vez a las personas no les gustaría ver.
