Hello, friends. Greeting you one more day. On this occasion, I bring you a bit of what the Fruit Market in the city of Lima is like. Unlike other markets where mostly vegetables and groceries arrive, at this market, as its name suggests, only fruits arrive from all over the country. Fruit from the north, south, and east arrives at this place so that retailers can buy them and sell them in the district markets. It's an entire business that passes from hand to hand, and with it, the price also goes up.

When someone tells me, "Come on, accompany me to the Fruit Market," I don't think twice. I empty the memory card, prepare the spare one, my two batteries, my lenses, and I go. Everything also has to be a bit stealthy, and you have to be cautious; there are many pickpockets in the surrounding areas. Not inside the market, though, because the vendors themselves don't allow it since it scares away customers. Even so, someone did yell at me for taking photos, but I'm learning to ignore it.

Here I leave you this series of photos from my day. Arriving, I loved this scene: the girl passing by with some kind of toy, the truck full of pineapples (maybe from eastern Peru, the jungle) and, as always, the cell phone, taking a breath before unloading all the crates of pineapple. The place is a visual paradise; you can find all the fruits you could imagine, and at a price you wouldn't believe either. I hope the images speak for themselves. Hola, amigos. Saludándolos un día más. En esta ocasión les traigo un poco de lo que es el Mercado de Frutas de la ciudad de Lima. Al igual que otro mercado donde llegan más que todo verduras y abarrotes, a este mercado, como su nombre lo dice, solo llegan frutas de todos los lugares del país. Fruta del norte, sur, oriente; llegan a este lugar para que luego los minoristas compren y las vendan en los mercados de los distritos. Todo un negocio que va pasando de mano en mano y con el que también va subiendo el precio.

A mí me dicen: "Vamos, acompáñame al Mercado de Frutas", y yo no lo pienso dos veces. Vacío la memoria, preparo la de repuesto, mis dos baterías, mis lentes y me voy. Todo tiene que ser también un poco a escondidas y andar precavido; en estos lugares hay mucho amigo de lo ajeno en los alrededores. Dentro del mercado no, porque los mismos vendedores no permiten esto ya que espantan a los clientes, aunque sí me gritaron por ahí por tomar fotos, pero yo ya aprendo a ignorar.

Acá les dejo esta serie de fotos de mi día. Llegando, esta foto me encantó la escena: la niña pasando con una especie de juguete, el camión repleto de piñas (tal vez del oriente del Perú, o sea, la selva) y, como siempre, el celular, tomando el aliento para bajar todas las jabas de piña. El lugar es un paraíso visual, encuentras todas las frutas que podrías imaginar y a un precio que tampoco lo podrías creer. Espero que las imágenes hablen por sí solas.
