Absolutely this is a massive step forward, although I have to wonder how much processing power will be needed to pull off this photo realistic avatar in VR without everything slowing to crawl - possibly the hardware cost will limit the usage until they can make it run smoothly enough to still have that photo quality avatar without needing start of the art hardware. For mass adoption of something like this, it has to be realistic for the average user to be capable of running it.

This is true on the processing aspects. We have pretty much reached our limit on CPU as the moment besides throwing on more and more cores and pipelines.
Voted and will check out to see what you have been working on etc :) One of these days I'll be running a node of my own I hope. Have to learning to do on that side of things.

The server requirements are actually quite low, the killer is you need to have ipv6 connectivity.
