When people come to Mexico on vacation, they don't realize the dangers that may exist. We always know the beautiful side of the country because of its tourist areas, but in the cities it is very different.
Yah, the grass is always greener on the other side. You gotta watch your steps but with tourist it is always different. When I moved to the states for a while the chief of the city gave us instructions on where to go and where not. What colors to wear or not. You could have the prettiest house and all fine, the next house walk by and you're dead.
Yes, I know that part of life, a couple of years ago the situation was very different, I remember that in this city you could walk quietly even at night, but in recent years violence and drug addiction have increased too much, it is sad to see the decline of the city.
Understandable, it seems like a lot of places are declining. Times are hard and not easy, for 90% of the worlds population. It is hard to not give up on the hope that things will get better. But we gotta try for our own, to make it better. Sighhhhhh...humans. We are so different lol.
