Helping you live a better life, if times get tough, or even if they don't - Jack Spirko, The Survival Podcast

If you plan for a hurricane, you are pretty much all set for an earthquake, riot, water outage, lay off...

But, if you do not prepare at all, then you are SOL when the tiniest thing goes wrong.
But x2, you can never completely prepare for all circumstances and perils you might face surviving in your abode.

But, there is a better way of thinking these preps through. What actually benefits your life.
Growing your own nutrition is very beneficial. Something you really can't buy at the store. So, not really being proactive or reactive, but seeing a better way to improve your life, "if times get tough, or even if they don't"

Another similar design principal is to get "this" thing done and fairly routine before taking on another thing. i.e. Get your garden growing and the automatic watering and you system of harvesting and canning all settled, before you start on the chicken coop and chickens.

So, instead of proactive and reactive, it seems more about prioritization of time you have to apply.
Because 100% prepared is a myth, but 0% prepared is a surety.

On the other side of this coin:

I'm 100% prepared to fight in a spontaneous breakdancing battle whenever one comes up.
My opponents will find themselves served.
What else do you think I can leverage this skill for?

I couldn't even recognize songs made in the last 10 years, i will totally be served.

There is an entire "service" industry, mayhaps you can apply your service'ing into a multi-million dollar industry?

I just re-read my reply... and i didn't link what i said at all back to HIVE or even programming.
Just wanted you to know that i read you post, and didn't just reply to the title.

I have totally let killer apps die from analysis paralysis.
And written things straight off the cuff

... which is better? Well, one has code, and the other one doesn't.
One will never embarrass me... yeah
