Fungi Friday: The sunbather

What's happening friend? Nuttin, stuck to this log as usual watching the world pass by.

You sound glum.

Not at all, I like nature watching, people watching and bovine watching too 😀

Twas another glorious #FungiFriday and I decided to go outside without a hat, umbrella or sunscreen.

Do you remember that Smash Mouth song? Walkin' on the Sun? I feel like the sun walked a bit on me.

Luckily a tree provided a makeshift umbrella and by the look of my tan you can see where it was situated.

This tan mark will be here for a couple of weeks before it fades back to my glorious natural tones.

Everyone has been nice about it and hasn't mentioned anything yet. Luckily, I haven't started peeling like an orange due to this overexposure.

Look at my underbelly. Pristine! Luckily for me the sun doesn't shine upwards or this would be a different tale to tell.

I believe my friend on the left thought ahead and brought along a bottle of spf 30. I'm not a dermatologist or anything but I believe anything above spf 30 adds very little protection.

This sure beats nothing.

All this talk of tanning is reminding me of the Coppertone little girl and dog logo. According to Wikipedia the original logo was a profile of an aboriginal chief. I noticed the current logo still has the little girl and dog but not like this 😀

SPF 50 for me. I do not want to turn to a lobster and then peel. That's what normally happens to my glorious pale tones :D

Better safer than sorry. You can never be too careful, I've had some of those lobster moments before too and you never forget them.

Sleeping on your stomach only soothes it temporarily and you might get a huge crink in your neck if you end up surviving the night by not suffocating yourself haha

Don't forget your big floppy hat on this glorious Friday. Fashion can serve other purposes too 😀

I haven't thought of taking photos of fungi from under it. That would be an idea I'll try to do :)

You'll need to get a bit dirty but it's worth the effort. These ones were really fresh without a blemish on them.

I know you're fan of fungus homie, but we just had to deal with a blight and use Copper Fungicide on our cucumbers.....I plan to eradicate all mushrooms henceforth...unless edible! 🤣

They're looking really nice, thanks for the photo.
