Fungi Friday: Follow the leader
Who's that on the log again?
A rainbow colored turkey tail in case we haven't met before.
Do you notice my lovely rings? How about my colors?
We're having a feast on this old log as we normally do and you're more than welcome to join us. This log is a good year, plenty of flavor and highly recommended by us.
You saw us up close in that last picture and now you're seeing us from afar. We tend to crowd ourselves as you might see. I recommend looking but not touching. We're a gentle bunch but once we started chewing on this log you might want to stand back.
Nobody likes to be disturbed in the middle of eating am I right?
These are the new kids making their mark in the world or more specifically this log. I'd give them a few weeks or maybe a month before they start to show their true colors.
They will have plenty like us turkey tails, a true rainbow.
We fungi say to look at the big picture and here is a big picture 😀
Hanging out, eating away and having a great time.
I sometimes forget how many of us are here but it never feels crowded.
These are some new neighbors. We're not completely acquainted as of yet but that can be remedied quickly.
Some of these new friends appear to be falling off the log. Too much of something I figure, they must have slipped while adjusting their belt after this big meal.
Someone might have told a funny joke too. What did the fungi say when they rearranged their office space? There's so mushroom 😀
These appear to be waving goodbye to another Fungi Friday. The time passes by too quickly out here mushroom gazing. They'll be waving hello the next time someone passes by, I know it.
